Hey everyone ahh this is a bit embarrassing I'm a 25 year old male today I decided to get my eyebrows waxed as they are big and bushy I wanted them tidied up I've had this done a few times before with pretty satisfactory results. I go in to the beauty therapist who I make it clear too that I just wanted them tidied up and for it not to be to obvious that I've had them waxed I'm a guy so I don't want it to be obvious to people I've had them waxed lol. Well you could imagine my horror when I look in the mirror and see literately half my eyebrows are gone! They look shocking and look really feminine I really have no idea what she was thinking!

I was wondering if anyone could recommend me some products I can use to fill them in and make them fuller? I'm brown skinned with black hair. I've tried googling but it's all a bit confusing if someone could help me out that would be very much appreciated. It's going to be so embarrassing when I have to go buy these products! Lol, thanks.

I am sorry you are in this uncomfortable situation but hopefully we can help you here!  Honestly it might be more obvious to others if you try to fill them in.  Brows are a tricky thing to do well.  Can you include a pic of your brows?  That might help to determine what to do.

To correct this is a bit tricky. For starters, you have bushy brows. Now did the beautician remove the height of the hairs as well as half-the-length of your brows? Or just half the length?

Now we haven't seen pictures, but I can guess she created an arch by your description of "feminine" looking. The most affordable way to correct this is to carefully use a very sharp brow pencil and recreate the tiny hairs in the arch areas below and above (at the outer corners). Go to a counter or Store (like Sephora, MAC, Kryolan, MUFE), and ask the BA to show you how to create the tiny hairs using the liner. Skip the powder! There is a difference between "filling" and "darkening". You need to "fill in" the hairs, not "darken" in the sparse area. Now depending on your brow growth, expect to do this for about a month or so, as men's brows grow more quickly than women's do.

Unfortunately, you won't create the height of the hairs, but at least you've filled in the shape. If you don't sharpen the pencil every 3 - 4 strokes, your brows will look painted or drawn on. If you decide to go this route, you need to buy 6 liners to start and a sharpener. I recommend getting your brow pencils from pro lines like Ben Nye and Kryolan as their liners are very long, thus they will last longer.

If you want to add the fullness, you need to lay crepe hair or real hair down in the waxed areas. This is a very time consuming and messy process, but it can be done. I am not going to explain how to do it here as it's way too long to explain as it's a classroom lesson.

Unfortunately there are no YouTube videos that show you how to do it. But Stan Winston Studios has a great, very well done how-to video on hair laying including brows, (It's much better than what I was taught in make-up school). The video costs $100 to buy via streaming.

Another option, (the least option, but also the easiest) is to go to a wig shop and get them to fit you with lace brow pieces. The draw back to this is, the growth rate of your brows will make it more and more difficult for the lace brows to stick as time goes on.

Also, next time, always go to a barber to get your brows trimmed and shaped. Based on my personal and professional experience in the field, women estheticians, brow techs, and most women MUA's don't know how to trim or shape men's brows, they will always over trim and create arches, which is a conundrum as women MUA's are very good at trimming and shaping all types and styles of beards... And they are also very good at laying facial and brow hairs and lace hair pieces.

Dear ,

Sorry for what happened. You should buy a black eye pencil. Use it to draw fake brows ,it looks natural .Don't overdo it.Night time before you sleep use little vaseline on your brows it helps them grow back faster.

On your off days or every night take small onion, grate it,dip a cotton ball in grated onion and apply it to your brows, leave it overnight if you can otherwise wash with plain water after one hour.I know it smells but that is sure fast way to regrow your brows faster
