Grey to blonde...

Hello!

I'm about to go from v. dark brown to blonde. I'm in my forties but have about 60-70% grey(salt and pepper) I end up dying my hair every two weeks, it's boooooooring....and thought yay, now's my chance to be blonde!

Anyway, the salon said they'll do a bleach bath and the highlights with an ash toner on the same day.

I 've got curly hair, and am wondering about pre/post conditioning and these blue shampoos etc...

I'm going to get a hairmask today and just load it on for the next 3 days. I'll be in the hot sun a lot with hopefully some platinum highlights.

 I don't want the yellow look, for sure, but since it's a big blowout hairwise I'm gonna go for mega beach highlights too...lol!

Does anyone have any advice, or anything I should know?

I would say like with any coloring, be especially gentle for the next week or so. No tugging when brushing it out. Don't use overly hot water in the shower that will strip more oils. Keep it heavily conditioned to avoid breakage.
