Hi all,

I am just 26 and having grey hair problem. I have been using natural heena to hide them but that lasts only for 15 days. So is there any way to get rid of this problem permanently. If you have any alternative ideas or tips for this to be treated I would be very thankful.

Other then coloring your hair there isn't much else you can do . I started to get gray hair then too. I started to color my hair after that. It is part of my gene's so there isn't much I can do but color then away!

If you get your hair coloured professionally, let the colourist know that you want the dye to be permanent, meaning that it will cover the grey and not fade away.

If you dye your hair, make sure the box states that it will colour the grey.

Nice and easy, Nutriss and Belle Colour are three good ones to try.

I heard somewhere that it can be difficult to apply hair dye over henna, and have it be effective. If you do want to dye your hair, don't apply any more henna. Maybe wait for at least a month before dying as well.

There is no way that I know of, that will permanetly get rid of grey; The hair starts to go grey/white when your pre-determined melanin levels run out - meaning no more pigement can be produced. Scientifically I think its impossible to reverse this process; as dragonfly suggested try switching to a permanent hair colour that is specifically for grey...but be WARNED, having had Henna on your hair, its going to be extremely difficult to color over it with an oxidative dye. Normal hair colours penetrate the shaft of the hair permanetly changing the structure and colour; Henna on the other hand coats the outside of the hair and essentially 'glues' shut the cuticle making it impossible for colour to penetrate.
