I mixed equal parts of "no tears" formula baby shampoo $2.99, with a pure soybean and extra virgin olive oil blend (in Rite-Aid's dollar item aisle) and made a fabulous makeup remover. My motivation was to copy the expensive Mary Kay one I was using that came in a 3.75 ounce bottle and was costly. Wonderful! I love it.

Thanks! I make my own too, sounds just like yours only I add some water. I'm just wondering, does all that oil leave your skin a bit oily? I'm asking cause I'm thinking of using less water and more oil since I think the water is a bit drying for my skin.

I have a great recipe too. It has baby oil, baby shampoo (tear free) and water. Very simple. Here's the video if you'd like to see it!

I omitted water because it causes a sudsing action when interacting with the shampoo, that I did not want going into my eye area when removing with the cotton balls. Once I made my formula, it works so well that after I remove the makeup, I can then normally wash my face with soap and water and rinse normally with all traces gone. Experiment with what works for you, I love the effectiveness and the savings. It makes a large batch.

I would sub the baby oil for olive oil or sweet almond oil or jojoba oil. Baby oil is from mineral oil which is a petrol byproduct.
I make mine from jojoba 70% and castor oil 30%. massage on your face, wipe the gunk off with a microfibre face cloth. Use a witchhazel/rose water toner on a cotton pad to remove the excess oil. It works like a charm. No shampoos and no petroleum product. 100% natural and your face is super clean but not dried out. It removes ALL your makeup - eyes, lips, face.

Yes haha this is the recipe I use!!! it's the best one I have found online.
Thanks SewAmazing, I'll try taking the water out or at least using less of it.
