okay, well i have been using the "revitalizing toner" in the proactive system for a looooong time now. i believe it is 6% glycolic acid? well, i don't use the whole proactive system, and i haven't been for a long time now, only the toner, and my mom just recently cancelled our prescription. Now i'm looking for a toner similar to this one because I like it so much and it really helps my skin. My skin is somewhat sensitive and prone to redness [and little acne] so i'd want to stick to the same percent, or not much higher, so I don't get irritated. This proactive toner doesn't irritate me, and I use it at night and in the morning. Any suggestions???

[ i heard DDF makes a good one but it's 10%?]

I don't use Glycolic toner, so I don't know much about it.

Wait for Kim, I think she knows a lot about Glycolic stuff.

[ i heard DDF makes a good one but it's 10%?] I'm interested in getting a glycolic gel or serum for my open pores & blackheads. The product says its '10% unbuffered glycolic acid'. Anyone know what 'unbuffered' in this case means? Also, is 10% good enough? Thanx!

I love glycolic acid products! I not using any right now because my acne has come back in full force, but when my skin gets back on track I love using the Exuviance Line of products. It is based on glycolic acid like proactive and also has a lot of other all natural ingredients. The gel cleanser is great and they also make a glycolic toner. It's called Exuviance Moisture Balance Toner I can't find the percentage but I doubt that it's as high as DDF

DDF has a 10% liquid toner and a 5% toner that comes on little pads. I would probably go for the 5% since I used a toner morning & night. I'm still unsure though...

I've used toners with both Neutrogena and Peter Thomas Roth. The Neutrogena Pore Refining toner has a combination of both glycolic and salicylic acids. The Peter Thomas Roth has a glycolic clarifying type toner. Funny enough, neither product lists the acidic percentage....

I use the DDF 10% Glocolic toner. I really like it after I remove my makeup with my cleanser and use this to remove the lil' bit of makeup left. It picks up everything!! The only think I don't really like about it is I feel a light film on my face after usage. I usually use it and then after an hour or so I rinse it off with a light rinse of water-- that usually takes care of it.

I have about 1/3 of a bottle left and at this point I'm not sure if I would repurchase.

There are several other products, one is called Aqua Glycolic... I have used this one and it is very good, actually I LOVE it! I will definitely be buying it again... You can either order it online at their website or ask your pharmacy to order it for you. It is NOT a Rx, but they do keep it behind the counter is they have it, and if they don't they can order it for you. They have a cleanser and toner as well as face and body creams... The toner is 11% G.A. and isn't too much on your face.

Another brand, but it is a little more expensive, is called MD Forte. They have cleansers and "lotions" (they are more like a mix of a G.A. serum and toner) and other things in their line. They have three levels of G.A. available, I (10%), II (20%), and III (30%). I am currently using their cleanser in number II and once this bottle is done with I'll probably buy number III.

I think there is also a brand called MD Formulations. But I don't know much about them and I haven't used them before...

I thought pretty much all of the G.A. products are pH balanced? At least the ones I have seen are...
