HI ladies! I had 30% glycolic peel last night...i just noticed that a small wound on my forehead that i thought was already healed but not reacted to the peel and left like a burn spot. When I put the glycolic solution it stings then after several minutes it turns red and left a burn mark on my forehead, what shall I do. and recommendation to remove that burn spot or mark.

Man, bummer. I think the best thing you can do at this point is let it heal completely before you try to do anything to it. If it leaves a mark after it's healed, you can either continue with peels or try microdermabrasion to "fade" the scar away. Good luck!

Sorry that happend to you! Well, maybe you can use some kind of soothing or healing cream, but make sure it's gentle..otherwise you don't need to do much to it, avoid putting makeup on this area until it heals..

thanks ladies, i know i have to wait for the burn mark to heal and do something about it, do you know any cream to put on to heal it easily?

I use Burnol Plus Antiseptic Cream tocure wounds on face and body. Burnol was re- launched as " Antiseptic Burnol plus" in 1994, which widened its usage from minor burns category to an antiseptic cream . So far, it's not as famous as in some asian countries and that's why you might need to get it online.

Aloe vera gel is good for burns and wounds. I hope it's gotten better.

o ... sorri to hear that. Hope these suggestions from the above ladies can help u ... i know my first time using 30% burn the **** outta me ....

I've had that happen too. Use EMU oil on it. After about 5 days I used Epidermx on it and it balled up and came off. Don't worry- unless its oozing then I'd see a doctor.

hi! thanks to all of you...it's almost healed today but still a little bit or red, it's almost a scar...i will wait until it's completely healed and do something about the scar.

LOL - I've gotten a few of those. Emu oil, camellia oil (both are biological healing oils), Derma Butter (all natural - from www.goldportbeauty.com), or plain ole Aloe. After a day or two, Epidermx or other good microdermabrasion to get the scrufties off.

Next time you do a peel, dab that spot with water first - that will cut down on the actual % GA that will be active in that area. Another route would be to avoid that spot all together and when you're done applying the GA to the rest of the face, take one drop of water and one drop of GA and apply to that spot.

Dabbing the spot with water will not do a thing to protect the spot. These solutions are usually buffered to maintain the same pH level unless you are adding some some strong bases in equal parts, unless it's 70% GA. If anything, dab the area with a thick barrier, like aloe gel, so that any splash backs do not touch the wound, and then proceed with every other area of the face.

thanks for all your inputs...my wound/burned part was totally healed and i've done my 2nd week of GA but still did not put on that spot. i've used the camellia oil to help the wound heal faster. I'm planning to do MDB to remove the mild scar that i have.
