My boyfriend constantly complains about dry itchy skin all over. I told him he needs to moisturize after getting out of the shower no matter how feminine it makes him feel. He has been doing that and it seems to have gotten better, but now he doesn't want to continue using his "Kiwi scented" lotion (he lives with his mom and sister so they have girly products everywhere). So I figured I'd get him a guy-friendly lotion... like something good smelling that guys aren't "afraid" of lol.

I am not really sure of his scent preferences so much, he loves Axe bodyspray (but doesn't overdose on it thank God!) and when he showered at my house he used my peppermint shampoo and mint body scrub saying he liked the scent of those. So maybe something minty? Any good ideas? Worst comes to worst I could just just pick up some Gold Bond Lotion... I use that sometimes and it is so good for itchy skin. Smells kind of medicinal though.

Hhhmmmm...how about taking him shopping and have him smell some different scents?? Or there's always unscented lotions. Then he can still wear his Axe Body Spray and they won't conflict!

maybe some kind of cocoa butter or shea butter? they smell kind of nice and chocolatey. If you have a body shop anywhere near you then you could get him the brazil nut body lotion, it smells really good and its awesome for dry skin. Not too overpowering or girly.

Try Cetaphil. I bought that for my b/f, the one with SPF 15 since he works outside and he can tell the difference and it is also protecting his face, which is good no one uses skin cancer. Not to mention that it doesn't smell girly at all, it's a very plain smell.

*sigh* my husband uses my Dove Firming lotion, and sometimes the Avon skin so soft lotion, he was using the Dove energy glow till he discovered he was walking out of the door to go to work, and had golden glitter all over his arms, lol.

Nivea or Lubriderm is good for men

i swear by Olay in shower body lotion .......it's great and then he won't have to rub lotion on his body.........he can do it in the shower like a body wash........and the smell isn't girly.

Maybe the hemp lotion? It has a nice unisex scent IMO. Or maybe something scentless or just with a nice clean shower-fresh scent. Walmart has lots of scentless lotions.

I would think that "nutty" smells aren't too girly? Like those Body shop ones. The Body Shop also has an exclusive Men line, although I'm not really a fan of their products.

Another option would be to get him something unscented (I recently got a sample of Bliss Body Butter from Sephora which was heavenly, but pricy):

Sephora: Bliss Naked Body Butter: Body Lotions & Creams

Or something natural that smell of shea butter, cocoa butter, or natural essential oils. A great brand to look for in either pharmacies or natural stores (worst case you can get it online) is called Kiss My Face. They make great natural products from real ingredients (as opposed to the chemical crap sold by The Body Shop). At affordable prices too!

Kiss My Face - Moisturizers

Dial has some pretty good body washes...which i dont think is a girly brand.

As for face washes etc.....i introduced aveeno to my bf...he likes its. and he used all 3 steps...which i still think is a miracle that he is actually stickin to it. He is still amazed over the fact that after u wash ur face there is actually still dirt on your face.

I currently have my boyfriend on Cetaphil products, which is what I also swear by. However, my dad really liked Clinique's Mens line, and I think they have a moisturizer.

looooooool aprill !!

(OT : my bro uses also Axe deodorants and shower gels, i was even asked which one i prefered:sleepyhead:).

my dad uses the Nivea soft cream, it's a great moisturizer and it's quickly absorbed by the skin so you can use it on your face as well as your body.

i was also gonna suggest the body shop.

most guys i know like lubriderm. it's not expensive, available at any drug store and the scent is very clean.

What about Curel? My entire family (my 2 brothers, my dad, my mom, and myself) all use the Curel Continuous Comfort Lotion. It doesn't have a smell and works wonders.
