I was getting a facial the other day and the beautician told me to use a fruit enzyme scrub (the one they sold was a whopping 78$) to get rid of the dryness (from acne medication) and just to give a radiant complexion. I have acne prone skin but i always thought that fruit enzyme scrubs are bad for acne...does anyone know anything bout them or tried them? i'm really interested! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hi! I have an Apple and a Papaya Enyme Peel. I think I bought them for about $20 each at Whole Foods. I use them to dissolve dry and flakey skin caused by my acne medication. I think they are okay to use in moderation. I use mine once a week.

I think they're generally alright for acne prone skin, but not for anyone with rosacea.

My dermatologist told me to use Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream to get rid of dryness caused by acne medication, it's a heck of a lot cheaper than $78 and works great for me! Never tried a fruit enzyme scrub myself... some scrubs such as St. Ives Apricot Scrub can be too harsh for your skin and irritate it even more (or so I've read)!
