My hair is very fine and full of fly-aways but a good anti-frizz product really helps! When I used to style my hair with a blowdryer I always used John Frieda's Wind Down cream in original strength. It's actually supposed to straighten your hair in addition to being an anti-frizz cream, and while it did get rid of frizz and fly-aways it didn't do anything to straighten my hair!

Now that I'm flat ironing my hair, I'm using L'Oreal's Hot Straight (in their Studio Line) which is very similar to the Wind Down cream but also helps protect your hair from the heat of a flat iron. Even though it doesn't claim to be an anti-frizz product it works very well as one -- the other day I forgot to use it and my hair was so full of fly-aways and static all day, it drove me nuts! But with the cream my hair is much better!

Finally, a little spritz of flexible hold hairspray can help keep fly-aways down without making your hair too crunchy, though I don't think it works quite as well as the creams mentioned above. I like Herbal Essence Flexible Hold hairspray because it doesn't smell like chemicals :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Also, you can spray some light hold hairspray on your hands, and pat the flyaways down, it always helps for me!

Kind of stumbled on that about 10 years ago when I read a can my mom had laying around and said you can use it on hair --- just spray on the brush and go! lol -- Well, I tried it... and lo & behold! It actually works REALLY good! lol Now I always have a can on hand. Best $4 you can ever spend on a "hair" trick... who knew? lol ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Someone gave me the suggestion to try John Frieda's Brilliant Brunnette Satin shine finishing creme($5-$6), and it works great for fly aways. I haven't tried static guard, i will have to try that to some time.

I find that if I use a little BioSilk AFTER I blowdry my hair it takes care of the flyaways for the rest of the day.

If I don't have BioSilk then I put a little hairspray on my brush and run that through my hair.

The winter is the worst for me.

I tried Static Guard when I was younger (and didn't use any other hair products -- I just washed my hair at night and woke up in the morning and it was dry, and that was it!) However I wasn't that impressed, but maybe my hair is finer and more lightweight than yours. Or maybe using Static Gaurd with another anti-frizz product would work better :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I also never wear turtleneck sweaters because they make my hair SO static-y no matter what i put in it! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> (Of course I hate that "choking" feeling of a turtleneck anyway!)
