I have never done waxing or threading basicaly never touch my eyebrows. Just before my graduation. I went to Sunita Beauty store in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to look for some Sari..(Indian dress) and end up doing facial and threading. She did excelent job doing facial it took her 45 min or so cost only $50 and i felt so relax and soft smooth face. threading $6. will post my grad pictures you will see the difference. My face was glowing on grad day. And boy am telling u she did the threading in two min. it was hurting so much. Thank god i did the threading same day of my graduation. Cause next day i found out my eyebrows puff up and was souring. sad thing is i don't see the difference between before and after threading maybe beacuse i have light and thin eyebrows. I thought this is interesting to share with you guyz. Have you guyz did threading or facial?

I did threading once and will neevr do it again...my mom never told me that it would hurt and I was crying as the lady in the salon did threading for me :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I do threading regularly and I love it. I like it better than waxing. It is quite painful, but my eyebrows looks so much better after that.

Hi Mina, I get my brows threaded all the time! They look like garbage right now coz I'm growing them out but believe me, when you get the shape you want it is MUCH better than waxing! They have way more control on the outcome ... A lot of the pain has to do with the pressure or technique the gal uses so ... I'd suggest trying another gal before you give it up entirely

i never had a facial or did threading. i heard threading is better then waxing but more painful, i would try it but nobody around here does it :satisfied:

I've never tried threading or waxing my eyebrows. Though I would try threading, but I just don't have the patience to grow out my brows. I pluck them as soon as I see a hair growing in, lol. Can't stand strays. The only bad thing when I do it myself is that I can't seem to get all of it! So frustrating. I just put concealer on over it, and it hides it rather well, so it's ok, lol.

I think threading is one of the few salon services that hasn't gone up in price! here some charge up to $11 cdn, but most are about $6 cdn. Unbelievable huh?

Here in my area is ranges from $4 to about $6. Haven't seen anything cheaper than that or more expensive than that.

i once had my eyebrows threaded and it was way better than waxing (stings a bit)! it got everything! and it was cheap! haven't tried it on the above-the-lip area, but i'm sure it's a lilttle bit more painful than the eyebrow area.

i want to try threading but nobody around here to do it, i had a facial once and i didn't like it, i don't like ppl messin' with my face!!

Hi Mina,

Happy Graduation. :flowers:

I've never had my brows threaded before, but do get facials as well as give them (I'm also an esthetician).

Congrats on graduating!!

I had my brows threaded once, but I didn't like the shape she made my brows. Waxing makes me break out and feel all gross for a few days, but I get a nicer brow shape.

I've done threading once, when I was in India last time, and it was about a dollar. They did a great job, and it did hurt, but they cooled my eyebrows afterwards with ice. The facial was very nice, but it broke me out afterwards...

My aunt dragged me to a salon in Bangladesh to get my eyebrows threaded my very first time. Hurt like a mofo - I had to have my aunt stand next to me, to hold/squeeze her hand! - but the result was great. I wish they offered threading where I live now, but I guess I'll have to stick to regular ol' tweezing until I move to a bigger city.

Also, I think you get the best and most dramatic results if your brows are naturally thick. My aunt has thin brows, but she still gets them threaded because she likes the nice line she gets underneath. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Yes I've experienced the pain of threading! Went with my mom-in-law for the sides of our faces to be done and it ended up as a full facial defuzzing - ouch! Threading does leave a clean finish (no sticky wax) but I don't like the feeling of it, I can literally feel and hear each hair being pulled out no matter how skilled the beautician. The whole method was interesting, hairs are pulled out in lines and I can't for the life of me figure out how they hold the thread between their fingers :icon_wink Right now I prefer epilating facial hair which is much less painful than I would have anticipated and not messy at all. Oh, what we women have to go through to look presentable!

Man...I was told that ish hurt but that was an understatement! Next time Im taking aloe with me....my brows stung so bad afterward...and the lady even cut my eye brow...she was too rough I think.

But I did like the results.

I just went to a random person for a emergency waxing and she did them way too thin so now I have to regrow them. But I will probably end up getting them threaded again by someone else and thicken my brows up a little with brow powder...my new best friend! lol. really brings out the eyes.

i always thread them ! i find it so much better than waxing - which i heard is bad for the delicate skin in that area. It's painful but real worth it.
