Yeah i think its fab! Do you use any of their products, Char?

I haven't tried Lush products (yet) but I've heard some good things about their products, especially their face soaps. The black coal one is supposed to be great and another one....it's pinkish looking with calamine as an ingredient. I forget the name but it's supposed to be good for acne prone skin. Let us know how the products are if you use any.

I JUST got my first LUSH shipment yesterday! Got three different massage bars, I was disappointed in the smell of the Therapy one, it was supposed to be a nice fragrance with lavender and it smells oddly medicinal. Amazonian smells great as does the "honeymooner' one. I got Karma soap and do LOVE the orange/patchouli smell of it. I tried a little of the Angels on Bare Skin cleanser last night unsuccessfully, I guess I used too little. I fared better with the Babyface. I did leave quite a "coating" on my face, but it felt great and absorbed into a good moisturized feel. I don't think I'd use it every night though.... I am plotting my next order already!

Awesome! I know that Jessica (glamslam) is a big Lush fan so you might want to check with her.

i have only tried their bath bombs but i liked them, they make your skin soft, and they are nice and romantic when you share the bath with someone ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Cool, thanks for all the recs girls! And thanks for the heads up about Jess Marisol. I'll PM her about it too :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Honey I washed the kids Soap is to die for. I haven't even used it yet in the tub, I keep it by my computer so I can sniff it while typing papers! That is so sad...:icon_redf

My favorite Lush products are:

Soaps: Honey I washed the Kids, Alkmaar, Figs and Leaves

Ballistics: Honey Bee, Sex Bomb,Waving not drowning, Sakura, butterball

Moisturizers: Sympathy for the Skin, Skin Sin

Shower Gels: The Olive Branch

Hair products: American Cream Conditioner

Buttercreams: Randy Butter(Holiday), emperor of ice cream, heavenly bodies

Shower jellies: Sweetie pie, Champagne snow(holiday)

I really love so many of the bath and body product from lush but have not had the same success with their facial product. Not a one.

Laura! 50% off??? I hate you, and I mean that in the most loving way.

Soaps: I've only tried Honey I Washed the Kids and Alkmaar, and I love them both. Awesome scents!

Face stuff: Ultrabland as a MU remover, I love it! I had been using DHC Cleansing Oil (which I loved) but was looking for something different, that's the fickle beauty junkie in me. So I really love Ultrabland, it melts everything off including mascara, leaves my face soft and not greasy. And Herbalism cleanser for my oily, spot-prone skin. It is working wonders for me. Smells weird and looks even weirder, but makes my skin clean-clean-clean but not stripped, and really soft. Light exfoliation too. It feels very healing.

Hair: Soak & Float solid shampoo bar. This is for dandruff. It's notorius for being horrendously stinky. But if anyone suffers from dandruff like I have, and has tried everything like I have, then all you care about is, does it work? Yes it does. NO flakes and NO itch from the first use! It's a miracle for me. American Cream conditioner is fantastic for not only conditioning my hair, but covering up the campfire smoke smell of the Soak & Float. It smells utterly intoxicating! And girls you know my hair is wrecked from all I do to it. This product works well as an everyday conditioner for me. (I still use a deep conditioner every 10 days or so.) Rehab shampoo is a great product to use every once in a while as a clarifier and to sort of kick start the hair when it's been abused to death like mine! It smells so good and is very concentrated so the small bottle lasts a long time.

Shower: Skinny Dip shower gel was my fave, but they D/C it, the fiends!!! Now the scent has been recreated in a Buttercream Bar. I like it very much. I refrigerate it then cut off slices to use in the shower as my soap. It lasts longer that way. Addictive scent!

Body: Silky Underwear dusting powder is also addictive. It has the same scent as Alkmaar. I think it's the vetivert that I like. Well whatever it is, it's a gorgeous smell and I love to dust this powder on before bed, there's something comforting about it. I also sprinkle it on my sheets if the mood strikes me.

Now these are just my opinion...but here goes--Products not to waste your money on: Jungle solid conditioner, I have no idea why this gets so many rave reviews on the Lush website forums! Made my hair tangle worse than it ever has in my entire life, and left it with a gummy texture. Buffy the Backside Slayer, totally overrated! Melts away to nothing in about 3 uses, too abrasive, scent was weird. King of Skin, same thing except for the abrasive part. Coconut & Almond Smoothie shower soap, just really blah. Blah scent and blah performance. Why use somethng blah when you can use something amazing? Helping Hands hand cream, didn't hate it, but it wasn't anything special. Really blah scent and it just didn't feel that moisturizing or soothing like they say it will.

I've tried a couple other things that I'm still unsure about. I'll let you know. I haven't tried any of the bombs or bath melts because I don't take baths. Sad huh?!? No time. :icon_roll For some reason I haven't tried any of the body lotions--that's on my list for next tme! I really want to try Dream Cream or Sympathy for the Skin. I don't like cherry scent so I don't think I'll be trying Skin Sin.

I am newly addicted to Lush and appreciate the opinions, Gramslam. Here is a promo code they sent me with my order - FREETOP5 . Good for buy one get one free on: Dream Cream, Ocean Salt 250ml, Honey I Washed the Kids 3.5oz, Big or Avobath. Add one to order and use code to get second free. Good from Jan. 1 to Mar. 31 2006 at Lush.com

I don't take baths either, so the bath bombs will not be something I'll try. I'm curious though, at that price can you use them more than once? Would be a lot to blow on one bath! It sounds appealing, but I get in the tub and ADD kicks in for immediate BOREDOM. Not relaxing for me, just excruciating.

I don't really like it either, it's greasy.

I haven't tried any other products from LUSH, so I don't really know about their stuff.

Some people use half of the bomb or either crush the whole thing up and use a few sprinkles. But I like using the whole thing. And they are worth the money to me. It's one of a few indulgences I love.

I love Lush! I can never go into that shop without coming out with something (and usually a bagful!).

Products I like:

Aqua Mirabilis - Great exfoliating bar, much better than Buffy IMO because not greasy and seems to last longer too

Dream Cream - You already mentioned this up the top Laura, it is great

American Cream - This hair conditioner just smells amazing, and leaves hair lovely and soft. You'll be sniffing your hair all day!

Creamy Candy Bath and Bathos - My favourite bubble bars. Just a little bit and you have a bath of gorgeously-smelling bubbles. All the bubble bars are good though.

Snow fairy (holiday) - Lovely girly shower gel

Also, all of the bath bombs I've tried have been great

Products I don't like:

Smitten - Greasiest hand cream I have ever used! Threw it out before I could finish it.

Jungle - Left my hair all flat and greasy, and yet somehow tangled?

And next on my list to try are the shower creams, especially the one that smells like Skinny Dip used to cos I miss it! :icon_smil

PS Laura, I am so jealous of you getting 50% off! Just joking, how brill is that? Have fun choosing and update us on what you try!

Thanks for the recs honey!

Mom went to Lush on Sat and picked up Honey I Washed The Kids for me & Buffy The Backside Slayer. Love both of them so far!

Another Lush fan here :icon_smil

I see you've already done your shopping. Here are some of my favourites (for your next Lush shopping)

I love American Cream conditioner - it makes your hair smell sooo good for days; Sympathy for the skin - body lotion that smells like bananas; The Olive Branch shower gel; Sonic Death Monkey shower gel - chocolate smell; and many many more :icon_smil

Btw, that is great that you got 50% off.

I've been a lush addict for a long time, and i'm a poster on their uk forum, i loooove their stuff. All my body, skin and hair care is Lush, so i can reccomend quite a few of their products.

Laura if your looking for a foot cream, i'd reccomend fair trade foot lotion, its not a thick cream, its a lighter one and smells like spearmint bubble gum, absolutely delish!!:icon_love If you need a thicker cream, try lemony flutter, its as good for feet as it is for hands, and again smells gorgeous, like lemon sorbet!!:icon_love
