I'm having to buy a new flat iron after my Chi got a short in the cord. What brand do you use and why?

I'm using the T3 ceramic wet-dry flat iron and it works great for me.

it actually makes my hair look shinier!

My Sedu flat iron!! Well actually it's my moms, but that thing is a goddess for my hair. LOVE IT!!

If you are going to Sally's, get either the GVP or the Ion, the most expensive one, they are both very comparable to the CHI.

i have an infrashine. I love it and its lasted forever. I've dropped it on my floor (tile) and it still works the glue loosened and I had to glue the plate a little tighter but it still works perfect,

i got the Jilbere de Paris Ceramic Tools Tourmaline Series Flat Iron from Sallys. and i also have a Hot Tools one that is smaller. i dont like the Hot Tools one but the other one is pretty good. I want to get a Chi though...or something like the Chi...but I dont really want to spend THAT much money

i have a remington one but doesnt do the job for my hair!! im looking into buyin the new GHD styler, 300 here in aus. I went and got my hair done at the salon as they were trialing it and omg it is great!!! i even used it, so i just knew if it was the stylist doing it, but omg my hair looks thinner and it does the job!!!

I have a GHD. It is the BEST straightener I have ever used. It's amazing. You can do so much more with it than straightening, curls, flicks, you name it, you can do it. They're a bit pricey over here, but it's well worth it.

Chantelle - the new ones are awesome!!

I have a Chi. I love love looove it!! My hair is a mess without it. I always had my hair cut short so the frizz wouldn't show, but now with my Chi I have it really long! Although I don't flaten it everyday of course. But the combo use with the Chi dryer and iron along with the products.. it amazing!! I've never felt softer hair, and it's mine!! Love it!

I visited my hairdresser over the weekend and got an incredible deal on Babyliss I believe it's called. I'd not heard of that brand before but they were on closeout and she had gotten a few for a great price. I couldn't resist and am really pleased with the results. Even works on damp hair and that was new to me. It's only the 2nd flat iron I'd owned so I'm a bit of a newbie using it so forgive me if I sound like I'm nutty! -laughs-

I like my daughters Jilbere, but i want to get the Sally's generic version of the CHI, which is the GVP & is about $70 or $80. i can't remember.

I have a Sedu, which I just got this past Saturday, and so far im soooo in love with it! I got it from Ulta.

But for the past 4 years I've had a Creat flat iron, I've dropped a bunch of times, 2 times in water while it was on. And it still works great, the temperature dosen't get as hot as it used to, but still awesome! Very durable.
