Fandom collections

So sometimes we want to buy stuff because of dumb reasons....sentimental reasons. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Fandom reasons.

What are your fav fandom collections? Which fandoms do you wish would finally get collections? And which fandoms do you think are very collection-able?

I'm personally not a SuperWhoNatural fan and I'm not really into Harry Potter (blasphemy, I know) so I've kind of gotten shunted in this respect

Fandoms I really want: I mean, Pokemon forever. So easy to do too. Teen Wolf, because I'm dumb. James Bond in general because it's classy but also kitschy

Fandoms I think would make really good collections: Sleepy Hollow (though I don't watch the series, but I think thematically it's easy), anything by Clamp would be easy -- CardCaptor Sakura particularly would be great. But sentimentality, I'd want X /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

oh man, as soon as you posted, I thought of that. Sailor Moon was one of my first fandoms, but I'm weirdly unsentimental about it... except for Hotaru.  :wub:  I want Hotaru themed everything.

I'm really surprised no one has gone and properly done one. But there is technically official SM makeup that was releasd (LE so of course it sold out fast like crazy: http://www.sailormooncollectibles.com/specialty/cosmetics/) But I always feel like it's nice to have a fandom touch.

Speaking of which, Final Fantasy series collections. And Kingdom Hearts. Disney tends to shut down that unofficial stuff quickly though which irritates me.

SHUT UP SAILOR SATURN IS MY FAVE TOO. I think that's one reason I just didn't have a lot of motivation to keep watching the reboot (i stopped after like three episode lolol) because I know there isn't any chance she'll make it in given how short the series is.

And oh my gosh that LE set is so great. I'd love to see some nail stickers by Espionage Cosmetics (they have a generic manga themed one coming out soon I think so I'm gonna be all over that soon). I think there's huge potential to do some neat stuff with Sailor Moon.

I'd also love to see anything video game related (especially nintendo because that's where my allegiance lies, but I also love Final Fantasy to death).

I'd love to see Final Fantasy collections (XII, especially, but X/X-2 could have such pretty, dreamy colors). American Horror Story has such a distinct palette each season that someone could do really nice collections with that. Game of Thrones...as long as there's nothing purple, lol!

Geek Chic Cosmetics had a previous Color of the Month eyeshadow called Pretty Guardian (I definitely bought it because of the theme and the label art...) and a Color of the Month lip product called The Last Cetra (based on Aerith/Aeris from Final Fantasy VII). Rainbow Honey had a limited edition polish called Crystal that was inspired by Sailor Moon. But I'm also really surprised that there aren't more Sailor Moon collections out!

I would also love to see collections based on CLAMP! I think innocent+twisted alchemy might have done CLAMP themes for her subscription before; I was randomly browsing her facebook page and noticed that she had done a Magic Knights Rayearth collection several years ago and... became very sad that it doesn't exist anymore -_- /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Also now that I've gotten some sleep, I recall that Rainbow Honey had (I think limited edition) a polish called Bubblebeam. Not sure if there were any other pokemon related ones though, definitely don't think she's ever done a complete collection.

In planning to launch a Star Wars collection in the spring, hoping to aim for a launch date of May 4th. I might be able to work in another collection before then.

I would really like more history themed collections, like Espionage's (I think) French Revolution collection! It's perfect. 'Historical Blunders' would be a cool collection- 'Trojan Horse', 'Ross Rifle', etc.

Or a Hell's Kitchen or The Taste collection... ahhh. I'm weird and I can't get into many TV shows. The ones I do wouldn't be collectionable anyway (Cracked, Rookie Blue, Breakout Kings, Misfits).

Aromaleigh has a history collection of forgotten women! It's called IGNIS ANTIQUITA. I think you'd like the other collections as well.

I'm not super into the usual fandoms (ie. Harry Potter, Dr. Who, Anime-anything). I would love a collection based around 1950s Sci-Fi/Creature Features, though. Come on, The Crawling Eye, The Thing from Another World, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Them!.... it would be awesome, but I feel like I'm in a minority for my love of these movies.

Yes, but everyone and their mothers have done a a Doctor Who and BBC!Sherlock collection already so you'll understand why I want ALL the pokemon collections >_>

Plus, I feel like pokemon -- and many video games in general -- are great for specific thematic collections. I mean pokemon have element types associated with colors. Eevee is a pokemon with 8 evolutions which are also color coded, etc. 

And stuff like Sailor Moon is also color coded and galactic. I actually really liked ChG's first attempt at a THG collection with the districts. There always feels like there's something proper about having structure, and I think with fandom, a lot of times the structure in collections is really obvious.

I think a horror geek themed general collection would be really cool... like taking a classic horror movie as inspiration for a specific color in the collection. Would be great for halloween

@ you can also check out Shiro for Moon Prism Power. Victorian Disco Cosmetics also had a Sailor Moon collection but her shop is closed but you can still find the shadows floating around in swaps. And the current word going around is that she is going to partner up with someone like Detrivore with Shiro, so we'll see. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
