I've always wondered this, But is it possible to still tan on holiday while wearing a fake tan? I was told people do this so they have a slight color for their holiday. I was also told that in some fake tans like St Tropez have something in it to help get a better tan..

But what I really need to know before going away is Will I tan through my fake tan and will I notice the difference, I dont wanna think im getting a tan then when I scrub my fake tan off im taking off my real tan too! or should I exfoliate lightly every day or so to lighten my fake tan while Im getting a real tan so Im exfoliating my skin, lifting the fake tan but getting a real tan while in the sun.

Or should I just go white? Id prefer not to as I cant stand to see my pale skin.

Yes, you will tan through the fake tan, you will probably notice the real tan darkness anyway, but if you don't, once the fake tan begins to fade on its own (you don't have to exfoliate it off unless you get patches or something) you will notice that you aren't fading back to your usual "paleness". Or just stick it out and wait for the real tan. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Will i definatly notice the real tan tho, my fake tan goes patchy just about 6 days after having it on, so I should notice different colors of tan, with one being real and the other being fake

Yes you will still tan, majority of fake tans do not have SPF.

I alwyas use the Fake Bake tan when i use the tanning beds in the summer to accelerate my tan and it works. It says on thier website that thier product helps you to tan quicker so maybe you could look into that.

Also....be careful if you are bathing in the sea! The salt water will leave your fake tan very patchy in a few hours! Happened to me so id wait a few days to venture into the sea until u get your real tan :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

thanks for that info! im planning on just tanning mainly, at least for the first week to get myself a decent tan n allow my fake to fade
