I'm thinking of ordering an Extra Gentle Buf Puf sponge to use on my very sensitive skin and I was wondering if anyone else has ever used this product? If so, how rough is the texture?

I'm also thinking of using a superfine sugar scrub (superfine is just regular sugar that's not as rough).

Does anyone know if the Buf Puf would be more/less gentle? Would one work better on dead skin cells and clogged pores?

Thanks.

I've been doing the microdermabrasion 3'x a week - skin & pores look fantastic - I've used DermaNew for awhile.....now I'm using Epidermx which I totally love - actually I've ordered mine thru Kim here on MuT - if you wanna read about it....http://www.natural-dermabrasion.com/ It's great

My doctor recommended I use a Buf Puf sponge with Cetaphil soap to exfoliate and cleanse my very oily skin which is prone to clogged pores. He actually recommended using the "Original" texture and just rubbing very lightly to avoid irritating my skin. However I can only find the "Gentle" texture in my local drugstores. Now my skin is not sensitive, so I can use the Gentle texture at a "normal" pressure (I guess you would say) without problems, and after the sponge is a week or two old and starts losing some of its texture, I can rub a lot harder if I wanted to. (Make sure you replace it every 4 weeks or so!)

However I've never used sugar or any sort of scrub so I don't know how the two compare, sorry!

I used to use sugar and it worked just fine. I reccommend just using alot of baking soda though because sugar can be rough and tear some of your skin tissue. It's really good when you pair it with honey or almond oil. My skin is soooooooo smooth after.
