hi

i just bought johnsons facial cleanser and i was wondering can cleansers cause brakeouts and do i have to wash my face with another soap or wash after i cleanse it

i mean what exactly is cleansing isnt it the same thing as washing your face??

i'm confused

Yeah cleansing is the same as washing your face.

Just wash your face with the J&J cleanser alone. Don't wash with soap.

You won't know if you would break out from i until u use it and see. Unless you know if a certain ingredient in the cleanser would break u out then don't use it. But most of the times its trial and error.

Hope that i answered your question :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Some brands (such as Dermalogica) recommend cleansing twice for 'professional' results and even sell 'pre-cleansing products' but I find them no more effective than cleansing normally just the once and find that cleansing with more than one product can dry my skin or make it too oily and break out

If your skin is sensitive to any of the ingredients in the cleanser, it's possible you could breakout. Using a cleanser is the same as washing, so don't use anything separate to wash with.

Anyone know if a really good deep pore cleanser...I mean leaving your skin really clean and not drying it out? As I get older, my pores look larger :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hi,

Actually, I use Dermalogica and do find that the double cleansing does work. They do have a soothing eye makeup remover (which I do like), but I've never applied any other pre-cleansing product. Once the eye makeup has been removed, I proceed with the double cleansing.

is it the johnson and johnson purpose brand cleanser? if so, it's supposed to be gentle as water and shouldn't break you out. It's very gentle and not really that great for skin that needs major oil control, deep cleansing such as skin with acne. However, it is good for just cleansing your skin and also great for cleaning brushes! it's the best brush cleanser I've tried and I've tried shampoo, castile soap, facial cleanser, etc. and this keeps the bristles very nice and soft, even better than shampoo! hth
