I hope this is in the right forum because if not i'd be embarressed.

Oh yeah before I start, i'm young. But I figured that all you girls are more experienced that anyone I know so why not ask?

Well when I was little I decided I wanted to pluck my eyebrows (I have no clue why, I didn't even need to). But I didn't know how to so I plucked on the inside and now my eyebrow is growing inward-ish. Now that i'm fourteen and finally going to highschool I really want to fix it (or conceal it). It just makes me look SO masculine and ugly. I really need advice from all you lovely girls. I would be FOREVER thankful.

Really bad picture of me but the harsh sunlight shows the messed-up eyebrow nicely.

So ANY advice would be amazing! Please!

First of all I have to say your hair is amazing so long and shiny. I want my hair like that.

But to your question, what I would do rather than mess with them yourself is go to the salon and have them wax them for you. Then when the hairs come back in you can just pluck the new growth. Or just go back to keep having them done there. You can get them done really cheap too.

Haha thank you.

Well I was thinking about that but if I waxed that part off would my eyebrow be too short?

Thank you again!

That is why I am suggesting a professional. I think if you tried to do it yourself you may take off too much or not in the right place. They look like they are pretty well shaped, just need a little cleaning up.
I am not a pro, so maybe one of the other girls here will come and help you out better.

You might be able to get away with trying to "train" the brow to at least sit how you want it to. If nothing else, maybe try some clear brow gel to get it to sit how you want, and if need be, use brow powder to cover any gaps. Bexy's idea is a great one too.

You have very nice brows!

I think you can blend that area fairly easily.

This is my suggestion:

  • Get an angled brow brush
  • Get a brow powder/wax combo. The brow powder should match your brows. N.Y.C. is what I use. I have the brunette color. Don't use the brush that comes with it. It's no good.
  • Use the wax/powder mix to fill in the sparse area. At the same time comb the straight hairs into your brow. The wax should hold the hairs down and in place.
Ultimately you want to fill in the sparse area with color and brush the unruly hairs down into the brow. This should help to make the area of concern more like the other side.

This is the brow powder/wax combo:

**This product is just a suggestion. You can get whatever you want. This is pretty good stuff and it's only $3.00.

Here is an example of a brow powder brush:

I hope this gives you an idea of what your options are.

That is a great price for the brow color and wax. You can not beat that. I spent a lot on my Smashbox Brow Tech. I can just use the brush that I have with that kit when I am out. Thanks for posting that, I learned something too.

Depending on if you decide to go with the Browser Set, I have one in Brunette that's BN and never used. I don't think I'll be using it anytime soon. I can send it to you if you'd like. JLMK!

No problem! I'm glad I could help.
I accidentally found this one day in Walgreen's or somewhere. I took a chance on it since it was so cheap. I was very happy with it. So many times I buy the economical products and they don't work out. Finally one did!

I know what you mean. I have been having a lot of luck lately with drugstore stuff. Like brushes, blush and shadows. I am a SAHM so with one income every little bit helps.

ok this is waht i would do... i would go get my brows professionally waxed so u get a head start and can keep up with them on your own but have a good base to start with next after they are waxed if there are any areas you want thicker or andy spots where the hair is sparse you can get a brow shader like the one posted above and shade in the area u wish and even the sparse area out and theeeeeen if u say ur brows dont stay in place u could use a clear mascara and use it on ur brows to help them stay in place i use a product from benefit called shelaq and it comes in a little bottle with brushes included and a cute lil bag but if your on a budget you could go to cvs and pick up a clear mascara and use that... i hope this helps!

Am I missing something? I know I'm getting on in years and my eyesight isn't what it used to be but I think you look beautiful just as you are. I don't see any "messed-up brows" and certainly nothing about you that can be perceived as "masculine or ugly".

I think most of us have parts of our eyebrows that need to be filled in and Kat's suggestion is a good and cheap way of doing it. Mine is at the tail-end of my left eyebrow so I fill it in with a mineral e/s powder in a taupe shade using a similar small, stiff, angled flat brush.

Don't worry so much about your brow because the hair should grow back before you know it. Anyway, I wouldn't even have noticed it if you hadn't mentioned it.
