Hello everyone,

I have just joined the forum in order to ask this question! I am getting married on Saturday. I sent my fiance to my (quite expensive) salon to get his hair cut, and the haidresser convinced him to get his eyebrows tinted. Before they were quite blonde and a shade lighter than his hair, but now I think they look too dark and he'd hate everyone asking him all day if he had had them dyed. I have used strong make up remover to get rid of excess on the skin and scrubbed with shampoo and an electric toothbrush, which didn't make much difference!

I am sure that in 2 weeks they'll fade to a more normal colour, but we don't really have 2 weeks! I'm loathe to send him back to the salon, although that's an option, but we're really busy in the next few days and it's a bit of a trip away.

So I'm thinking about using a facial hair lightening product- such as Jolen (from the UK), which I have used successfully before- on his eyebrows just to lighten them a shade. Does this sound like a good idea? Will the bleach interact badly with whatever dye the salon has used and turn them an even worse colour? I would plan to only do it for 2 minutes and then monitor what happened.

Would really appreciate your views! Don't want our wedding photos to forever remind me of the folly of sending him away from his normal barber!

Thanks so much

Lydia

I wouldn't try lightening products because there's a chance it could turn to an odd color. When I had my hair done back in the day and it wasn't the color I wanted, my mom told me to wash my hair a few times with dawn soap and I think it helped lighten it.

Prell Original (or Classic it may be called) strips color and can ruin perms as well. About the only things it is good for actually.
