I was looking at this kit that has pre-shaped eye brow shapers. It uses a cold wax to take the hairs off. I was wondering if this is any good if anybody has tried it? It's called Hair-Off. I've never waxed my eyebrows but would like to, so would this be good as a starter?

have you ever tweezed your brows or is this the first time you've tried to shape them yourself?

Personal, humble opinion: You might want to get it done professionally the first time. Especially if you're not used to waxing or plucking them yourself. I don't know where you live or anything, but in GA and even here in NY where I live, eyebrow waxing costs around $7-$10. At least if you have them done professionally the first time you'd have a better idea as to where to wax, what to pluck afterwards, etc. I know I've messed mine up pretty good over the years, and I'm trying my hardest now to get them back in a decent shape! Best of luck to you chica!

Hello all-

I also think you should get them professionally done for the first couple of times. Also, the eyebrow stencils might not be in a shape that is flattering to you. They say they are universal, but they aren't...

My brows are just to not there. I need something, I have tried pencil and it does not look natural. any tips????

I had my eyebrows waxed twice, I cried the second time b/c the lady made them so thin it looked stupid. I just pluck them, I have eyebrows all over the place otherwise. As long as I dont go crazy with tweezers, I dont overdo it, just a few here, and then later maybe do a few more. Also sometimes if I am not sure, I have used teeny scissors to trim hairs to see how it looks, that way it grows back fast if it doesnt look good, and I use a pencil when parts look thin. I had thought about those stencils, but maybe I wont risk it.

agreed! god knows i've messed up mine and will spend the rest of my life filling them in!

Doesnt waxing your eyebrows have a greater chance of damaging the follicle so the hair might never grow again? I seperate the hairs I want to pluck and try to see what they would look like without them then once I made my desicion I pluck them gently and slowly. Don't go crazy and overpluck your brows like I did the first time I plucked mine unless that's the look your going for. But I personally like medium-thick brows with a nice arch.

as for doing it at home--i would go pro first and either try to keep it up at home with tweezers (i'm awful at that) or just go every few weeks

I agree with you. You've to find the eyebrow stencils that best suit your face shape and the size of your eyes. I found this site in another thread here and it's quite helpful. http://www.eyebrowz.com/

I had severely overplucked my brows, and I'm letting them grow in a bit. They're looking a lot better, but they're still pretty sparse in areas. I definitely agree w/ using brow powder. It's worked well for me. Since I haven't bought any wax yet, I've been using either clear lipgloss (Uh-oh!) or MK Lip Outliner Pencil, which is a slight wax consistency. Then I apply the powder, and set w/ clear brow polish. It makes a HUGE difference, although it takes practice to get it right (IMHO).

i personally hated this product. it did not work at all! getting them done would be your best option if you don't want to tweeze them.

my cousin uses one of these and the results look good on her, but I agree that you should get it done professionaly the first time.
