Hey there!

Thought I'd join these to get y'all's take on my issue: my eye makeup smudges :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I usually only wear mascara (Chanel Inimitable, or Body Shop standard issue mascara) and eyeliner on my top lid (inside and on the lash line, usually Chanel eyeliner or Max Factor). As you see, I'm not putting any makeup on my lower lash line or under my eye (except under eyebag concealer, but that's another story...)

And still my makeup smudges! During the day I end up with faint black smudging on my lower eye lash line and under the eye. I'm not sure if my eye area is especially moist or whatever, but I can't think of a reason for this! Waterproof makeup has not really worked.

Any suggestions?

It sounds to me like you might have oily skin around your eye area.  You might want to try starting out with an eyelid primer that has mattifying properties.  For a mascara I highly recommend Covergirl Lash Blast Waterproof.  That stuff really stays put.

Hope this helps!

I have the same exact problem have found an easy solution: eyeshadow primer! Even if you don't wear eyeshadow, the primer prevents eyelid area from going all slick and smudgy. I have found nothing better than Urban Decay's Primer Potion...this little gem is famous for a reason. Give it a try! If you do, let me know what you think! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

They are absolutely right. UDPP is amazing. I have horrifically oily eyelids, and it works wonders on me. Plus, the primers come in different finishes to switch your look up!
