I'm considering eye lash extensions. Have anyone had them done before. I'm not talking about those 1 day false lashes; I'm talking about the semi-permanent lashes. They are lash by lash extensions and would last up to 2 months.

A few of my friends have had them done...the one thing I would say is make sure you get feedback from others that have had it done where you are going..The reason I say this is one of my friends had hers done at one salon & another had hers at a different salon..One looked great..and the other..looked kinda freaky...

Yes, I agree with Kaeisme. Find a reputable salon. They look so lush and fabulous when they're done right. I want to get them done soon.

was thinking of getting them too ? can you use mascara on them and what if you remove your make up ? wont they come off?

I have had them done before. They only lasted up to 2-4 weeks for me. You can wear mascara and make-up etc. However you cannot have direct running water on them. The water loosens the glue.

ooooh those sound fun

how much do they cost??

here it is around 20-25 euros let say about 25 to 30 dollars

I hear that you can shower regularly, and wash your face, but you can't directly rub or tug on the lashes. They also say water-based mascaras are totally fine to use to (not water-proof or petroleum based)

I see that they always mark up the prices here just for the cost of labor. You can buy all the materials on this one website for less than $30 combined, and that would be enough for many, many sessions. Has anyone thought of buying one of those tutorial videos and having a friend do it?

ooooo i want i want i have no eyelashes, but i'd be scared

is it worth the money???

a $350 lash job is probably nova lash. they have some amazing enhancements that look natural. a $30 lash job is probably those ardell individual fan lashes that look like wisk brooms imo. the nova lashes last about 6 weeks to 2 months and the ardell lashes probably lash about 3 t0 5 days depending on the adhesive and the way you care for your lashes.

I've had lash extensions before they last about 2 month. After about 4 week, I had to go back and get a refill. My lady charges me 180 because of I wanted a fuller set then normal and also because my lashes are thin and harder to apply. I just recently stop having them put on because I wanted to give my lashes a rest. I have applied Lash protein to my lashes so that they can be strong and will grow so that I can continue to have them on. It's great that I don't have to spend time in the morning to curl my lashes. I do use mascara but my lady advise me to only use water base mascara. To think about it, I may need to go back in two week to get them reapply.

Thanks everyone! I think I'm going to move forward and check them out. I'll keep everyone posted on how they look and feel. I'll try and see if I can get before and after shots.

Would just applying a curling mascara be 'gentler'? I hate curling my eyelashes (but they re long and poker straight), but i heard if you curl on a daily basis, it really wrecks your eyelashes

so i was considering eyelash extensions..

Very interesting! I reckon you get these to make the lashes look longer and thicker? And is this preferred moreso over using the false lashes?

Make sure you know how they were made, they might come from animal hairs. Thats such a cruel thing to do to animals take thier hair to add to your eyes. Personally, i don't like the idea. I am lucky enough, beucase i have naturaly long lashes

My teacher who h is from the USA does them and says sleeping on ur back will help them lst longer and many claim 2months buts its most likely they only last a couple weeks. And thats with you being very careful.

These look great!!! I have absolutely no lashes, and am going to call my plastic surgeon (who has an aesthetician do them) to see how much they cost. Honestly, I heard they are around 600-700 dollars in the Bay Area.

That seems awfully expensive, but I hate hate hate (ok can't put them on...

) false eyelashes. Plus I have reddish/brown hair and black eyelashes look skanky on me. I have wanted these for some time. I wouldn't care if I even had wispy lashes. But I look like a rabbit without mascara. The animal hair thing also freaks me out, too. I mean, I eat steak, ok. I'm not a vegetarian..but I don't wear fur (hypocryte, I know) and if they skinned live gerbils or something..
