What is everyone's favorite eye cream, and why?

I am 21, with some fine lines/wrinkles from stress and a bad sleep schedule. On top of that, my under eye area gets very dry. I've been alternating between Clinique's All About Eyes (normal and rich formulas) and Shiseido's Bio-Performance Super Eye Contour Cream for the last 2+ years, and love both products dearly. They are a bit pricy though, so I'm trying to find an inexpensive alternative for a little while >_<

I don't use eye creams at all.  I did purchase that Shiseido one that you used for my husband because he had been complaining about some crepiness on his eye lids but he doesn't really use it either.  I just think its a thick moisturizer.  Have you just tried using your moisturizer and kinda work it in more around the eyes?

Yup. But I use Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. It goes on nice and creamy, but then dries very quickly and leaves my under eye area dry, so that doesnt work too well.

I use a combination of oils i make myself, i liked Clinique's eyecream but it's too expensive for me.

Currently, I'm using Ole Henriksen's Ultimate Lift Eye Gel, and it's fabulous!  It may be more than you're willing to spend ($38), but you only need the tiniest little bit.  I've had this jar for over a month, and I've only just now made a dent in the top of the jar.

Not drugstore, but the best I've yet to find... Caudalie Pulpe Vitaminee Eye & Lip Contour Cream. It's a cream, but it feels very gel-like. I like this is in the AM, as it provides a nice amount of moisture, but without causing concealer (YSL Touche Eclat or CoverFX CamouflageFX if I've had a bad night...) to smear or cake ($49CDN). Babor Sensational Eyes Creme. Heavier, in a jar, I like this for nighttime. Unfortunately, it is really difficult to find here - no drugstores, or major department stores carry it. The only reason I found this was because the girl who does my facials swears by it for dehydrated under eyes. Their salon is the only place I've been able to find the line... Laneige Hydra-Zen Eye Cream is the best alternative I've found to the Babor, but I still prefer the Babor, and it's really no cheaper ($59CDN vs. $60CDN for the Babor). I'm really blessed in a way, to live in a city that has a lot of Asian immigrant communities. It's been impossible to track down NYX, and I'd really like to have Pixi, Jemma Kidd and Barry M. easily at my disposable, but it's extremely easy here to find Laneige, sul wha soo, etc. The best drugstore one I've found is a bit of a loss, but Boots No. 7 Time Resistance Day & Night formulas. It's two cylindric (cylinder?) tubes in one package. Unfortunately, it's like the Biore Dual Action moisturizer everyone but me seems to love - the two tubes never finish at the same time. So, you're forced to buy another package for the Day when you've still got a 1/4 left of the Night. It is cheap enough (Shoppers here frequently has No. 7 at 20% off) but it still sucks. A reason the Night always lasts longer? It's absolutely crap. The Day Gel is some great stuff - cooling, reviving, and I found, helped with undereye darkness. I wish the braintrusts at Boots would sell these seperately... Oh, and I have sensitive, normal-to-dry, clog-prone skin with especially dehydrated undereyes. I wouldn't say my eyes are especially sensitive, though. Ones I've tried and hated include Nuxe Prodigieux Eye Contour Cream (in the process of using it up), MAC MoistureLush Eye, Clinique AAE Rich (ahem), and Boots No. 7 Reviving Eye Gel (completely different formula to the Time Resistance gel!)

I've never tried eye cream and I have some fine lines.  There are so many I don't know which one to try.  I simply use moisterizer and hope it does the job LOL.  I'd see what guidance I can get from this thread to help me out in this area.

I use castor and sweet almond. They can make your eyes puffy but it's either moisturized and puffy (considering my allergies will make my eyes puffy anyway) or non puffy and dry skin all around the eyes.

Still i think i'll try to whip up a small batch of eyecream, just because i like emulsions better than pure oils.

Eye care is essential to maintaining the health of our eyes. Stress and a bad sleep schedule may cause wrinkles and dark circles. Take a teaspoon of tomato juice, a few drops of lemon juice, a pinch of turmeric powder and a little flour, enough to make a paste. Apply this paste to the under eye area and wash off after fifteen minutes. You would feel better.

That's an interesting mix for moisturizer.  I only use castor oil for soap and for OCM.  I'll have to give that a try or maybe some jojoba oil/sweet almond oil/ a little hylauronic acid, gelmaker and some rosewater maybe.
