Does it matter if I use a drug store brand or a high end brand? Just want to know that if the more expensive ones are a gimmick...or are actually "better" in any sense lol

That is a tough call. I used to use eye cream, but after using it for some time, I couldn't tell much of a difference. Even if the eye cream is around $40-$100, it will last you for a good year.

For years, I used Neutrogena undereye cream(various kinds, including the kind w/copper in it--I love that!)

Throughout my 20's, it worked great, but on my 30th birthday I decided to try Kinerase instead--felt like I needed something a little stronger. Avon also makes a great undereye treatment, about drugstore price. As for high end brands--well,I preferred to have my dermatologist recommend something to me, that he felt would really work, rather than guess with such steep prices! However,I have used and loved one of the less expensive department store brands, Clinique--"All About Eyes."I recommend it highly to anyone.

I also like the Clinique All About Eyes eye cream. I've used RoC, L'Oreal and Neutrogena eye creams and they all seem pretty much the same - nice but not miracle workers. I think they are sufficient if you don't have any specific issues like deep wrinkles around the eyes to address.

I've tried both, and neither have worked too well for me. Honestly, Avon is what finally did the trick for lightening my dark undereye circles and "filling" in the shallow looking spots.

As for Drugstore eye creams, I really liked Olay Regenerist eye serum, it "brightened" my eye area, worth a try i think.

Hi lainey, it's no wonder people don't know which products to buy because there is so many choices and the market is massive.Nowadays the drug store brands like LOreal and Olay are just as good as Dior etc, and often they use the same ingrediants. It can be trial and error,so i would just get what you can comfortably afford,as sometimes expensive products can be mistakes. If you're still young, you wont need to spend a fortune on specialist ingrediants,so u can get away with wearing whatever you choose.

I used less expensive creams, often not specific to eyes when I was younger, but only NARS Eye Cream goes on my face these days. It lasts forever and to me is well worth it. Take a look on their site...

the only way to find the right one is trial and error. also, look a the ingredients on the back of the product to know exactly what u r getting

I tried both and love the Fast Response Eye Cream from MAC, what is more mid end here.

i LOVE shisedo eye cream as a high end cream, but i use mario badescu as my eye cream which is a mid range cream at $18.00 USD

i really think that different things work for different people. i purchased the skyn iceland eye cream ($45) and it didn't work for me at all. my fav is no puffery by origins ($20). just because something is more expensive doesn't mean that it will work better!

i ended up being cheap and bought a life brand cream for dark circles under the eyes...it solved my dry eye lid problem, but i don't see any results with the dark circles...

anyone have any success with dark circle creams...and how long for it to take into effect?

for the past few weeks, i sleep 7-8 hrs a day and drink TONS of water...
