Ok girls... and guy haha.. Do any of you find it trouble to keep eye contact with someone (meaning acne of corse) If you have it... I really could care less if someone els has it, it just bothers on me.. I went out tonight with friends and there was a bunch of people I didnt know there and they all asked me to do magic and the entire time I just couldnt keep eye contact it was so hard... its because of my pores, acne, and red marks and scars. I just think everyone is constanly looking at them and it gets to me. Does anyone els have this problem?? Its so frusterating sometimes. I will even go to lengths of saying im cold just to put my hoody on and cover up my face.. Its bad sometimes :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Tyler ... what in the world are u talking about? unless u photoshop your photos b4 u post them on MuT, i don't see what acne u are talking about. Sure i believe u have acne ... but don't be so self conscious about it ....

I agree w/michal, u're a good looking guy ....

I get paranoid that people are looking at me when my cheeks go red but I can cover most of the redness up with mmu :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I agree w/michal, u're a good looking guy ....[/quote you dont look as bad as you think it is all in your head and if you stop being so self conscious about it and leave your face alone it might help mu is not good for acne and if you act self conscious people are gonna notice that befor they notice "why" your self conscious try to be more confident that will out shine any flaw

I have seen your pics and cannot see anything at all but clear skin! However, I do know how you feel! I have had acne since I was about seven years old- yes, seven. Don't really know why. It has always made me very self consious. I know it is hard, but keep telling yourself you look just fine, because you do! I have learned that we always are MUCH more worried about ourselves and how we look than anyone else is...trust me....most of those people are too busy worrying about themselves...lol...to notice anything about someone else such as acne (or whatever it is that we see as a flaw on ourselves)

I know I will take some pics with a dig camera... I wish my skin was clear like it is in my pics but trust me guys its far far far from that. Its not terrible but I Do have lots of red marks and like 3 active spots right now... If you met me in person without makeup you would deffinitely know what I mean. My acne is no where near as bad as some people I know that and im thankful for that, but still it could be alot better.. Maybe once I order that True Cover it will do wonders for me. I just hope it doesnt break me out.

I will try and take pics with a dig camera when I can so you can all see what my skin really looks like.

Alright just took some pics with my Web Cam... SO you can see.. My spots are by my mouth around there. My forehead and cheeks arent terrible... its just around my mouth I get them so you can all see im not clear :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Well, I do see them, but pleae know that you like fine! I hope it didn't seem like I am trying to downplay how you feel, because I wouldn't do that! I know what a pain acne can be. I finally found something that works for me- retin-A. But I will never forget how my skin used to be, and how it affected me. Mine was 10 times worse than what I see in your latest pics.Anyway, just know that you're not alone, and that people that really count will see you and your personality, NOT your acne...

Thanks Jessie :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I was just showing a pic because I dont think people have seen pics of me close up before so just wanted to show in case people thought I was just being a baby and superficial haha. Im not, my skin to me isnt good but I know it could be alot worse so I try not to complain all that much. I heard Retin A works well for lots of people, but didnt for me :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Accutane worked but now my acne has come back, not near bad but still... So now I might go on Minocycline. I am going to the docs this weekend... or next weekend I guess, and hopefully he will put me on Mino. THat worked real well for my friend.

I have heard accutane really works, at least for most people. If you don't mind me asking- have you any problems with bothersome side effects? The potential side effects have always kinda intimidated me. Yea, retin-A did irritate my skin- but I at first used the .1% and now am trying the .04, which so far is much better...

and, no, you're not being superficial, imo, just human

interesting! I guess I always assumed with all their expensive makeup artists they always able to cover it all up!:kopfkratz:

Michal I saw that before, it goes to show that even the high payed actors hdont have flawless skin. So hard and nothing we can really do about it :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Jess Accutane side effects are bad... my lips are still dry and I took it over a year ago. But to me its a small price to pay to clear acne up. It also gave me back pains, but some people dont get side effects hardly at all. Some just get dry lips and that is it, and as soon as they go off they ar eback to normal haha. But some people it deffinitely effects more then others. My friend cant see at night from it... It somehow damaged his night vision... Made him see things super dark.

Agreed. Some days if my face is really good then I have no problem. Just if it gets bad then I worry.

Honestly, I don't think your acne is that bad. Have you gone to see a derm?

I don't have alot of acne on my face but I do tend to get them on my back and chest. I use glycolic acid and this really helps! Some people have also had some luck with ProActive too.

I have been to a derm a million times. I was on accutane 3 times so I had a derm visit every couple of months. I still go to the derm but there isnt much they can do. Yes proactiv worked for a while with me but then stopped... It was to harsh on my skin. I use bp on my forehead. I think i am going to go on minocycline though, I heard that is really good!!!

I agree ,my acne isnt that bad. I might just have to tough it out until it goes. Oh well it could be worse right

Tyler-

I have heard about accutane drying everything out. That wouldn't be so bad, but the night vision thing....scary. My night vision's bad enough as it is lol!

I don't have a problem looking at people with any skin problems... I've been more aware of myself than others when I had a flaming zit!
