Hi

I bought Dior Bikini lotion ones. And the next thing I knew, I had an allergy itch outbreak all over.

After a while I tried Clinique Simple Body Butter, the same thing happened.

I know I am allergic to nickel...

is there nickel in expensive lotions?

Anyway, I will stick to my cheap old lotions. They dont itch me.

Sorry that the expensive stuff didn't work on you and I don't have any comment about the nickel part. However, I do wanna say that...stick with what works on you no matter it's a high-end or low-end product. Sometimes, price just doesn't mean anything.

I have no idea about the nickel and whether or not it's in expensive brands. I've switched to using Johnson's Baby Lotion *lol*

could have been the perfume in them. i don't know what kind of cheaper lotions you use, but they may not be as heavily fragranced.

i'm not sure, but before u buy any lotion u might want to look at the ingredient list on the back of the product.

Curiously enough Mintesa, the only expensive lotion I use is from Iceland (expensive both because the price is ~ $30 for 200mL of Blue Lagoon, but I send my husband there in person to go get it for me while he's in Rejkivik... did I spell that right???)

I haven't had a good experience with other expensive brands.

Sometimes I get tempted to buy fancy lotions, but the lotion that I religiously use every day - I guess it would be my HG lotion - is Palmer's Cocoa Butter. Nothing softens and moisturizes my skin like it - even in the middle of winter when my skin literally tries to dry up and shrivel away (oh how I wish the same were true of my facial skin). Plus it smells really yummy too - like chocolate
