I don't think you would want to because the skin by your eyes is more sensitive than the rest of your face.

i dont, but when i get eczema in that area and all the flakies are there, i take a piece of scotch tape and put it on there then remove it carefully to make them go away (thank you to whoever mentioned to try this on here, it worked great and i love you for it).

oooohhhh!!!! that's forbidden area! you only have so many layers to your skin by your eyes, which is one of the reasons you get quick wrinkles, because there is not a lot of stuff to hold elastins. plus, your actual eye is only protected by a thin layer of mucous, and your eye IS an organ, and an easy place to get infections by introducing foreign substances near it (why you throw away mascaras)

you have to be good to your eye area, gentle loving nurturing... your eye area is like a baby in every way, and you have to care for it as such!

The skin around your eyes is very thin and sensitive. Exfoliating it would be a BAD idea.

I would agree with everyone here: do not exfoliate the eye area!!! It needs to be treated VERY gently. To help with the scaley areas, though, I'd say the best thing would be to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! And, while I don't have the problem myself, it sounds like the technique quoted below works, so I'd give that a shot too. But DON'T EXFOLIATE! (I wouldn't even recommend a chemical exfoliant - less harsh (in some ways) than a physical one, yes, but still too much for the sensitive skin around the eyes!) Also, definitely check with a dermatologist about it. Always do this for any skin needs, but ESPECIALLY when the eyes are involved.

Not sure who exactly you're thanking, but I know we're all glad to help!

Don't ever exfoliate the eye area!!Thta's such a sensitive area,if u have dryness or flakiness maybe u can slather vaseline at night before bedtime and in the morning u'll see a huge difference!!

I exfoliate by mixing a tsp of baking soda with a liquid cleanser.

I gently rub my entire face - including eye area - for a minute or so.

Rinse really well to remove all the soda.

The skin around my eyes is fine and the dry skin build up gets removed easily.

i think that maybe seeing a dermatologist might be in order for this one. bumps in the eye area sound like an allergic reaction to something. let us know what you decide.
