i had no idea where to post this, so i thought this was my best bet on this board.

has anyone tried this?

and if you have do you know if it has any CFC's in it? ive looked at the website and have asked people who work in stores who had it and they either didnt mention it or had no idea what i was talking about.

CFC's are the chemcial that is used in a lot of aresol products (like air freshners, etc..) that causes ozone depletion.

im sorry about this question, but i refuse to use products that have CFC's in them and was wondering if anyone knows if this does or not, cause i'd like to try it.

I could be wrong but I thought areosols no longer had CFCs in them...

It's nice to use a light mist to set your makeup or refresh your skin, but have you considered using something with more than just water? Aveda makes a "toner" that I use as a mist. It has herbal stuff in it and smells and feels great. DHC makes one called microwater, haven't tried it though. And Clinique has one too that's nice. These are all in pump spray bottles yet still disperse a fine mist.

My advice is to stay clear of these types of products...

Sprays like evian could dry out your skin because its water

I have never heard of this and don't understand why this would be the case... but I do think there are moisturizing versions of these sprays available.

Hi, :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I personally wouldnt buy bottled water unless I was on vacation where the water isnt very sanitary, or if I was thirsty and nothing to drink. I'll buy a Dr. Pepper instead. :icon_chee I think Evian Corporation has come up with a brilliant marketing money making idea. "If we can get people to actually buy bottled water, then we can make some money out of women making Evian sprays for your face, cleansers and what not. They'll buy it." :icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek:

I can ramble on about this for a long time as Frilly usually does, lol. :icon_chee But I'll just say that you'll get the same affect by doing to the bathroom sink and splashing your face with water. Instead of buying an "EVIAN" plastic bottle with...hummm.... water in it.....:icon_eek:

The sprays put a fine mist of water evenly on your face, not quite like splashing at the bathroom sink! This "sets" your makeup, they say, or from my experience, removes that powdery look so that your face looks more natural and not so makeup-y. They're also refreshing (I live in New Orleans, where it's hot and humid, so a little refreshment is good!) I don't know what the drinking water is like in England, but in the US it can be heavily chlorinated and full of hard minerals. Sephora sells a filter for your shower that supposedly leaves your hair and skin much softer due to removing these things. So that's why people sometimes pay for filtered or spring water. Still, if the concept of buying water to spray on one's face seems a bit... frivolous? Another option is to buy the spray toners, moisturizing sprays etc, so that you can get some other benefit besides the misting. Dr. Pepper's good too though. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

:icon_chee Hello Hissycat, I dont think I'll be putting Dr. Pepper as a fine refreshing mist on my face. Sprite yes, but NOT Dr.Pepper. LOL. :-- :icon_chee

I would highly suggest Avene or Laroche Posays Thermal water instead of the Evian brand. They contain the minerals for skin healing and especially Selenium.

Check out www.aveneusa.com

I know Americans don´t go to water spas and have trouble with the concept of pure water making a difference. I just spent 4 weeks in the USA - boy the water system in California needs some help! Anyway you will see a difference in your skin.

I have the Avene spray. Bought it recently. It is really nice. Says it can be used after hair removal, after anti-acne treatments, to set make-up and just general skin irritation. It is soothing.

I personally use it after my make-up, and it makes my foundation look really fresh. Recommend it highly. Oh, and it didn't cost a lot either - only £5.50.
