I need help.
I have naturally dark brown hair and dye it to match my natural color because of grays. I made an impulse decision at the salon this weekend and had her put partial blonde highlights over the dark (single-process) brown. I hate how light the highlights are.
I know that I should go back to the salon, and I'm sure that would be most people's advice, but I absolutely cannot bring myself to do it. I'm the type of person who wouldn't send back food in a restaurant even if it were absolutely disgusting.
So, my question is how I can dye it at home to darken the highlights a bit. In the past, anytime I've ever tried to dye my dark brown hair with a more medium brown color it doesn't take because the dark hair can't absorb it. So I'm thinking if I put a medium brown on my hair now, the dark would stay mostly the same but the blond highlights would get darker.
Do you think that would work? Any other advice for an at-home remedy that doesn't require too much skill?
Thanks!
