Hi Guyz!

I recently had a baby and now my skin looks very tired and dull. I would like to know what skin care products are good out there in order to get crystal clear skin. Right now i have a few blemishes and skin looks weird! I was reading some of the threads and most of you are makeup artists or pretty well know your makeup stuff so please let me know what should i do in order to get very clear skin like most of you have. Also is anyone taking omega 3 fatty acids supplements i heard theyare good for your skin and will make skin super clear but i am not sure. please help me i am very concerned about my skin i want very very clear skin. Thankyou so much everyone

ps. Also if you could share what you do for your skin ( routine, products, supplements?? anything thats worked for you)

Exfoliation should help. Either physical (eg: with a scrub) or chemical (with AHA or BHA) products.

Exfoliate with epsom salt..I read it on this board and tried it..JESUS! my skin looks so soft and healthy. Also go buy some flaxseed oil (Very high in omega 3). I take it everyday so I know first hand about its healing power. Also You might want to look into vitamin B complex. This is also a good supplement if you do decide to go that route. take 2 tabelspoons perday. your skin might even start shocking you as to how clear it is. dont overlook natrual products like essential oils and so fort. I find calendula oil to be very moisturizing and nourishing. Lavendar is also good. So is grapeseed oil and Jojoba oil. While you are also trying out natural products, adding a bit of tea tree oil to your face wash or toner might also do wonders to your skin. when I first started this, I hated it because I didnt use it properly. But after a while, I added a few drops into my face wash and I will always be loyal to my concution.

I hope this helped you a wee bit.

Well, depending on how long ago you had your baby, your body is still adjusting. I believe it takes something like 2-3 months after we've had a baby before our hormones start to get back to "normal," and sometimes it can take longer. Try exfoliating for now, and maybe try a mask. Nothing too drastic that could possibly cause problems later because you're trying to fix a "temporary" problem.

ditto on the exfoliation, but also drink lots of water. it works for me!

try turnaround cream - its the only thing that is guaranteed to keep my skin bright - other stuff works on and off

The other things I do that really brighten up my skin is using the Oil cleansing method, microdermabrasion, and a brightening mask by Liz Earle that does work. And if you are low on sleep cos of baby (aawww), that may also be a reason for your dull skin, so something like Guerlain Midnight Secret works really well for those sometime, 'got big day tomorrow' uses..

hth!

I agree on exfoliation--and Clinique Turnaround Cream is very effective. As well as drinking plenty of water, you might want to drink green tea as well, as it is full of antioxidants. For a makeup product, I love Revlon Skinlights:you can put it under, over,or mix it into your foundation, and it gives skin a beautiful bright candlelit glow.

every since i started to drink tea, i noticed that my skin got better. My skin looks a lot brighter. Get plenty of rest. I also have to agree with the exfoliation too!

another vote for exfoliation here ..... also, feed your skin from within, green tea and as many fruits and vegies as you can eat

Bonjour,

My advice- you should try the Lordsflag Crew Essentials-MIE Soy Body Cream

Why should I you ask?? Well because......This soy body cream is an incredible source of important nutrients that provids the necessary ingredients to build protein in the body. It is a rich in isoflavones which have estrogen-like properties which diminishes dryness, smoothes texture, improves radiance and firming. And did you know that the soy's role in skin is to stimulate, stabilize and influence production of collagen and elasticity.

It takes a while for your skin to get back to normal after giving biirth. Your body is going through major changes and needs time to adjust. Cleanse day and night, use a toner, exfoliate often and get yourself a good moisturizer. After about 2-3 months if your skin doesn't look any better, I'd try Estee Lauder's Idealist or Idealist Microdermabrasion. HTH!
