Since it has gotten colder, my face has became very dry. The Chicago winters and wind is killing it. I've never had any acne or skin problems before. I started using Clinique's 3 step program for very dry/dry combination. Anyway, it seems to be helping. My skin looks better, but it has started flaking a little bit. It seems I might need a face scrub or something to get all the dried skin off of my face. So what is a good face scrub for dry skin?

A good face scrub in general has nothing to do with dry, normal or combo skin -- it's just a scrub that does one thing: exfoliate dead skin.

I highly recommend using sugar and a face wash, or baking soda and a face wash. They both work awesome, are non-irritating, and do exactly what a scrub is supposed to.

Aveeno has a skin brightening facial scrub. It's supposed to be very gentle

Use baking soda, not sugar!! Sugar crystals are too big and have sharp edges that can tear pores and irritate your skin. Baking soda also has the benefit of thoroughly cleaning out your pores (although I don't use it everyday, seems like it would be too harsh.)
