I think its from trying different products at once, and maybe some cheap eyeliners. I get those red itchy eyelids, very dry. Any recs on what will help to make them normal again? I am trying not to use any makeup, that helps a little.

thanks!:icon_chee

in case anyone has a similar problem i tried putting some vaseline on the lids and it helped to moisturize and releive the dryness, but they are still red. i think with no makeup for couple days they will be fine again. i hope.

I get this all the time except my get swollen then dry and itchy and then for the next week they are all flaky and peely. I just went to my derm this week and he told my that I have dermatitis and he perscribed a cream for my eye area that will take the inflammation down and get rid of my dry flakies. He said that it was okay to wear makeup (thank god because I won't go without it!). I hope you figure out what is causing your dry itchies and hope they heal quickly for you!

that really sounds like my problem. Except i get these eyelids only when i put too much product on my eyelid at once, like mixing products, using cheap stuff and trying products for the first time, so i gotta cut it down a notch. thanks for your info!

Im allergic to any jewlery that has nickel in it and that was a major reason why my eyelids would swell up. I went to my dermatologist and he gave me this medicine but i have gotten rid of all of my fake jewlery. I havent had a flare up since august.

my try hydro cortisone creamlike 1% one or whatever it is. i know it's supposed to help get rid of itchiness. so i would use that and then moisturize on top of that when they aren't itchy anymore.
