Ok, so here's the thing. For a few months now, I've noticed that the skin around my nose on the bottom (where the nostril area connects to your face, particularly) has been really dry and flaking constantly. I use moisturizer daily, but it's not helping. It just keeps flaking. I'm not having this problem anywhere else on my face and I've never had it before. I've exfoliated, used masks, used moisturizer, used Neosporin -- nothing works. Anyone else have any ideas?

Thank you!

First you are going to need an exfoliator to remove the dead skin (flakes) and then moisturize regularly.

I had the same problem around the corners of my eyes. While my skin is prone to eczema, this was extreme dryness that would not stop. I was really concerned with how thin it was making the skin around my eyes. Exfoliating didn't help and some of the heavy cremes burned,

In the end I massaged a little Petroleum Jelly into the dry spots before bed each night and the flakey patches have disappeared.

Definitely try something like Vaseline. Or possibly even a heavier moisturizer in that area.

Hi,

Definitely try a heavier, intensive moisturizer (preferably a thick cream).

Aquaphor helps me in this kind of situatiion. What moisturizer do you use? Have you considered using an oil? It moisturizes better than a cream or lotion. Since using an oil as moisturizer my skin never gets dry and flaky.
