Suggestions please,I have noticed lately that my eyelids are dry what do I use for that?

I have recently increased my Retin A strength. I apply it all over my face including lower eye lids. As a result, my skin was getting quite dry and flaky on my lower lids and around eyes.

What worked the best was applying polysporin or vaseline on the dry skin, after supper.

I would leave on until I went to bed.

Then wipe most of it off so it doesn't get on my pillow case.

I did this for 5-6 days and it made a big difference.

use an eye cream, or vit. e oil at night on your whole eye area.

i have this problem (from eczema), and this is what i do and it works welll

Is it just dry or really dry and flakey? I use vaseline on my normal dry eyelid and glycerine on the other eyelid which is dry flakey and puffy because vaseline just did not work on it . Dont over do the glycerine though , as soon as the flakes are gone switch to a heavy duty moisturizer instead.

I like to use Eucerin cream (I think it's the original, in the jar) on my eyelids when they get dry. Actually, I like it for any spots on my face, or elsewhere, that randomly turn dry. It's excellent stuff, but spread it thin around your eye, since using thick or rich creams can clog the pores and cause milia (which are a b**** to get rid of).

Thnx for the recs everybody, the vaseline worked great and now I have happy lids!!!LOL!

I think I have eczema on my eyelids too. I was diagnosed many years ago when I had an allergic reaction to an eye cream. Was prescribed a cream and it went away. In the last year or so, it has come back. I don't think it's from my eye cream this time because I've stopped using it to see if it will go away and it's not. The petroleum jelly didn't work, so I guess I will try the vitamin e oil. Thanks for the posts cause it's really frustrating not being able to wear eye shadow, since anything with a sheen at all makes it look really obvious the skin is dry!
