Effective the next MOTM, which I'll make an announcement for soon, the new "procedures" will be as follows:

For the 1st - 7th, nominees will be accepted. Anyone added as a nominee AFTER the 7th, will be "disqualified," and will need to be re-nominated the next month. You can either begin voting as of the 1st, or wait until the 8th.

There's no real way to modify the current poll system, so this is the only other alternative. So, you not get 7 days to decide who you want nominated, and then you get 23-24 days to vote. This is the best solution we've come up with, and it seems like it'll work.
