Does anyone have a GHD iron that could help me out?

I just got a ghd iron and I think it's fake. I was wanting to if anyone could answer a few questions about it for me. I would greatly appreciate it!

I have one. What makes you think it's fake? Did you get it off the internet or in a shop?

What about it makes you think it's fake? I also have one. Did you get a code when you boughts yours? Mine came with one and you can register yours on the GHD website, that should help you figure out if it's legit or not.

I got mine off the internet. It came with a hologram sticker on the cord, and on the iron. It also has a sticker with the date code on it which starts with UMsomething... I went to ghd's site to enter it, when I did this using the hologram code it said it was not a recognized number. When I do it using the date code it says something like you are chosen or something to that affect. My cord does not have a hole in it near when it goes in to the iron, also it only has 2 prongs and not the one with the reset button. I'm not sure what to think about it, the seller swears it's real, but he has many for sell and some of the others can't use the hologram codes either. Please let me know what you think..also my box wasn't sealed.

I have a GHD...Did it come with instructions & your Warranty? I know when I tried to register mine when I first got it...it wouldn't let me...but then I realized I was on the UK Website...There are two websites one from the UK & US...Mine was bought at Sephora and it wasn't sealed...it was in the box with a plastic cover over the box to protect the iron...If you feel unsure about I'd return it and buy it somewhere legit

I have a real GHD. If you have a hologram sticker on your cord, you should check it on the website to see if it's real. From your description, it does sound like it might be fake...

hmm that does sound like a fake...i havent really looked at mine although i have had mine for a while now, but it is supposed to have a hole so it can hang, does the cord swivel?

and i only got one hologram sticker i think, just on the cord. hmm maybe even type in the registration code that should be on it and see wat it comes up with?
