Hi there, just wondering if anybody is using any products by VICHY Laboratories ... and if you like them. I'm interested in trying their facial creams and the anti dull skin cream.

They are nothing special(ingredients),but I like their SPF creams.

I have tried the Normaderm line and it was alright. The anti-dull cream sounds interesting. The products I used had a weird fragrance..I cannot describe it

Peekaboo, normaderm toner and i think cream also are full of alcohol,I really don't reccomend it for every day use, that's prolly where the weird smell came from.

Thanks Zoey. This probably explains that scent..it was also why it was a little irritating!

My mom uses this line and her skin looks amazing. She doesn't look her age at all. She lives in Europe (Finland) and there this line is only sold at pharmacies not at regular stores. I'm not sure how there prices compare in Canada vs Europe but I do know that Vichy is more expensive here than it is in Finland.

Reija this is great info. Its avail. at drug stores here, but pricey 4 my budget. $30 Cdn. for a little tub that would probably last a mo., however if it works I will pay it.

So I got some samples, I've used the "anti-dull cream" yesterday x2 and I really like it. It gives me a sort of mild shine which I really like, but after reading some other posts here I read the ingredients ... three different kinds of alcohol. I'm sort of torn b/c I'm not sure if alcohol will dry me out in the long haul. When I put it on my face my face went a little red, that really worried me but then the redness disappeared and it ended up looking nice, like really healthy.

What do you gals think about creams w/ alcohol, is it really a big no no?

The ingred are:

Water, glycerin, prunus armeniaca, apricot kernel oil, butrospermum parkii, shea butter fruit, cyclohexasiloxane, silica, dimethicone, peg-100 stearate, glycerol stearate, stearyl alcohol, honey, c12-15 pareth-7, ppg-25-laureth-25, carbomer, glycine soja, soybean oil, cetearyl alcohol, dimethiconol, manganese gluconate, methylparaben, arginine pca, phenoxyethanol, ammonium polyacryloydimethyl taurate, disodium edta, tocopherol, propylene glycol, propylparaben, capryl glycol, caprylyl, dimyristyl tartrate, benzophenone-4, ci 15985, yellow 6, parfum/fragrance

I’ve used the sample over the past couple of days. When I use it, my skin feels sort of warm and tingling, I wouldn’t say burning, just warm, like something is working. Also, a couple of days ago same time I started w/ the sample I started exfoliating my face w/ a brush for the first time too. Since I’ve been using this sample, the appearance of my skin has totally improved, its really fresh and healthy looking, wet but not too wet. Also, I had a really faint line (pre-wrinkle stage) by my mouth, it is plumping up and almost disappeared, I can hardly believe it. I’m so allergic to a lot of creams so I’ve only ever used body lotion on my face and have steered clear of face creams for fear of rashing out. It is very scary for me to try any new cream period, even the ones that swear to be anti-allergenic. I do need something more now tho since I’m aging, and obviously, my skin is too dull looking is a real concern for me.

Is this warming thing normal, I mean, is this something to worry about?

Also, any input anybody has on any of those ingredients would be really helpful.

Here’s a description of the product from their website:

OLIGO 25, an anti dulll skin moisturising treatment, benefits from an exclusive association of active ingredients to activate microcirculation and reawaken the radiance and freshness of the complexion.

Manganese prevents the contraction of micro blood vessels in order to reactivate microcirculation. Polyfructol stimulates the natural exfoliation of the epidermis to even out the complexion and improve the texture and aspect of the skin.

Hello ! I'm new on the forums! I also tested Normaderm from Vichy but I didn't find it really efficient and my skin was very dry after one month. But they have godd products, like sun creams. :icon_wink

well the "warming" sensation I was getting from the VICHY cream was an allergic reaction happening slowly. By about day 4 it was bad, needed a reactine. VICHY creams are supposed to be non-allergenic, but in the world of my sensitive skin I always take the words "non allergenic" with a grain of salt.

Just wanted to warn any of you out there w/ really sensitive skin, VICHY may not be a good one to try.

Becka,I am sorry,I forgot to post about alcohols.

these are bad:alcohol, alcohol denat., isopropyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, ethanol, ethyl alcohol, methanol, alcohol SD.
