So much talk is going around about using natural items as part of your skin care. Sugar for an exfoliant. olive oil as a natural moisturizer, bananas as a cleanser, etc.

Do any of you make skin care items out of natural ingredients or even use them straight?

I actually use Organic Grapeseed Oil for a nighttime moisturizer for my face.

I use a mix of olive oil and white sugar as a lip exfoliant.

I also use pure, organic, unrefined coconut oil as an all over body moisturizer at times too.

How about you???

I make my own mineral foundation, face soap, moisturizers, oil cleanser, toners and spritz.  I also make my own setting powder, eyeshadows, hair wax and whipped shea body butter.  I don't use anything straight but they all come for natural ingredients.

I tried the Oil Cleansing Method one time with olive and castor oil. It didn't work out so well. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> And I got a bottle of jojoba oil to amp up my moisturizers for winter, but apparently jojoba breaks me out. So... I've just been putting it on my lips and sealing it in with vaseline. I do want to try apple cider vinegar, though. I hear it's really good for blemishes.

I use things like sugar, olive oil, honey etc for a body or lip scrub but that´s about it.

But the things I use on my face are either prescription creams or other products that are proven to work much better than anything natural I could ever put on my face.

But especially for sensitive skin, natural skincare can be wonderful.

It is good for blemishes. You know what else is?  Ground cinnamon!  Make a past of vinegar and cinnamon and dot it on each pimple before you go to bed.  Try that, see how it works!

What i bought : chocolate and sugar facemask/scrub, anti aging serum and aloe vera based moisturizer (organic lines), organic showergel, natural aleppo soap for my face and body, olive oil soaps offered by a friend, bath foaming supplies from Lush.

What i make : makeup remover with oils and floral water, bodycreams for winter, foaming face cleanser for oil control (i keep this one for summer), lipbalms, toothpaste, clay masks, bodyscrub with olive oil and sugar, various little helpers like a roll on bottle for headaches, another for bruises and a small pump bottle for intestinal and menstrual cramps.

I use vegetable oils, as well as essential oils that are natural, sometimes they're organic.

My anti aging serum contains more product than i thought, so i've delayed my own experiment until i run out.

Lemon as a spot treatment. All of my clinique acne solutions spot treatments ect are all gathering dust. It works like a miracle, within one night.

witch hazel but only on zits because my skin gets read if I use it all over my face

Really natural stuff don't seem to really work for me (stuff I've tried so far). But I will keep on exploring :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I bought jojoba oil and castor oil last week but I haven't used them on my face yet.

You just have to be careful with vinegar, any kind can burn your face if you use it straight from the bottle; best to dilute it with water by at least 50%.

I do a natural yogurt mask "almost" every night (more like every other night lol). I either do natural yogurt with lemon and or natural yogurt with lemon, honey and oatmeal I use the lemon to get rid of my spots and within a months time they have really lightened up. I also dab hydrogen peroxide where the brown spots are in the morning followed by a 30+ SPF moisturizer.

As a natural scrub face I use (not often as the oatmeal does the trick beautifully) a paste of bicarb and water. As a body scrub I use sugar and olive or grape oil.

Umm let's see... I use lemon juice as a toner (I dilute it with water by 50%), I use baking soda as an exfoliant, I make lip scrubs out of olive oil and white sugar, and I use olive oil on my lashes condition and prevent breakage, and also as an eye makeup remover. I think that's all.

OMG yes! To the extreme. Everything that I put on my face, including: foundation, primer, concealer, cleanser, moisturizer, etc... All that is natural and/or organic.  If anybody is looking for some natural makeup brands, please try Lauress.  They are by far the best!

I make my own face mask and moisturizers, the only store bought product that I have is the eos lip balm that is all natural.I am currently writing a blog that has all natural homemade remedies if you want to check it out it's at homemaebeauty.tk I'm going to have videos up soon on my post but waiting on getting a camera. I have a post on chocolate mask, homemade blackhead strips, and lemon foot bath recipe that leave my feet silk smooth. But since using homemade remedies my skin has felt and looked healthier then before.

I hope this helped.

I use Witch Hazel as a toner, sugar and honey (as a scrub) and sometimes Aloe- it's very soothing and it's also a natural antibiotic and antiseptic.

Before I started using Hope in a jar I used jojoba oil and olive oil. The olive oil started to break out my face. The jojoba oil was great, but I haven't bought anymore I need to restock!!
