It occured to me i had an awful lot of products around the bathroom sink, and more in the cupboard under.

What do i do when i have too much stuff ? I get organized. So i counted and i could hold the fort for some time with all that i own :

-Four moisturizers. Actually three and some leftover i'll be done with soon. All have a different issue they target : combination skin, dehydrated skin, dry skin (which i keep for winter) and the leftover is a neutral moisturizer.

-One serum, i'm a good girl, but i'm not satisfied with mine so i could have two soon.

-3 masks, two are clays and the third is for dehydrated skins.

-6 soaps, all natural and based on olive oil, some i got offered, others i bought, plus my oil&water combo. No matter what else happens in my life, i'll be clean /img/vbsmilies/smilies/wink.gif.

-4 body moisturizers, my homemade cream, my fantastic vanilla/cinnamon lotion from Korres, my homemade anti cellulite cream, my Weleda calendula lotion. I was considering buying another before i realised i didn't really need a fifth.

-3 handcreams.

-2 lipbalms. Only two ? Yikes, i'm almost out, quickly, let's go buy a third ! /img/vbsmilies/smilies/crazy.gif

-3 hair treatments, monoï, baobab oil, my homemade serum which includes monoï, other oils and panthenol.

-4 shampoos (one neutral, one for combination hair, and two for dry hair), only one bottle is full but i can't finish the other bottles so it seems like i stock up hair products.

But i only own one conditioner...

The rest like sunscreen or hairspray is replaced when empty.

It's not like a waste of money because i use all my products (i label them to make sure i use them entirely before they have to be thrown away), and i moisturize my skin twice a day so all those body moisturizers and creams will be gone by the end of the upcoming winter, but it seems to me i could slow down the pace of my hauls. I'm like that i suppose, i don't feel good unless i have a backup and a backup for the backup. I'm always prepared /img/vbsmilies/smilies/smile.gif

You should come to my house and see what I have underneath the sink, in the cabinets and in box crates. HA HA. I feel like I have waay too many products but not enough guts to really throw some of it away/give it away. Gosh this post makes me feel like a hoarder lol. I feel like I collect these things because if I try something, don't like it, I hang on to it and maybe try it again down the road? I don't know, I really need to start returning things I don't like. Maybe that will solve the problem. And to make matters worse I never have backups! I always wait til the very last minute to replace something, and usually if I don't find that exact thing, or if I can't get it in time if I order it online, then I have to buy something else. I think its a good idea to have backups, I should try that lol.

I do both.  Usually if I see a good deal on a product I like, then I stock up.  Like the other day I found a buy one get one free coupon for the soap my boyfriend uses.  Plus it was on sale.  So he has body wash for probably a year now.  Usually I just replace it as I need it.

I do both as well. I found a L'Oreal foundation that I really liked cheap so I went back and bought another one. The first bottle has lasted me ages. I got a 2 for 1 deal on the powder I use as well so that is stocked as well.

I usually wait till I run out of creamses and lotions and soaps and shampoos before I buy new ones. Unless I see something new that I want to try... Or can't live without. Lol.

It depends on whether its something I can't do without or something I'm just trying to use up... If it is something I love, I will stock multiples (especially something I normally purchase online and takes longer to arrive), I will buy 2 or 3 at a time depending on how much they cost.  I start to panick when I'm down to 1 spare.  If it is something I'm just trying, I will wait til it's almost done and start searching for a new replacement.  Since I have started making my own cosmetics and cleansers, I have stock of ingredients to make what I want. This only means I have to take inventory of more things...*sigh*

I'll stock up if it's a really good deal, but I have been on a bath n body no-buy for about two years and have just about depleted that stash. Lotions, treatment, etc. take so long to use up, I realized I was wasting so much money, by not keeping track of what I have.

I only stock up when there´s any kind of deal or sale on a product I would for sure repurchase.
