Q: Do I need to wear sunblock every day, even when it's cloudy?

A: Yes and yes. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, 90 percent of premature aging and skin cancers are caused by sun exposure. Applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen (one that protects from both UVA and UVB rays) is your best defense. And while UVB rays may be partially blocked by clouds, UVA rays (the ones responsible for wrinkles and age spots) are just as strong as on a sunny day. A total block, applied liberally every morning, is the only way to keep your skin from becoming a statistic.

Yes and yes. I'm actually quite the science nerd and I know the fact that on cloudy days, 80% of the sun's rays reach us. It's also good to reapply often, and be very generous with your dose. You can also try Neutrogena's line of sunbocks which contain Helitrope which is a long-lasting stable blocker. Also, don't forget snow & water reflects a tons of the sunshine as well!

I never wear SPF. I'm bad. Sometimes when I'm first tanning in the summer I'll put like spf 15 on my face, but other than that I pretty much never do.

No way!!! Man if I wore sunblock every day my acne would be just horrible.. That stuff would clog my pores to kingdome come... I believe it helps the skin stay smooth, and not wrinkle as fast and what not, but there is no way I could wear sunblock every day. its way to thick and would make my skin so oily...

I can't live with out sunscreen. I have pale skin and am living in a harsh UV environment, so it's absolute must!

Tyler you should give Neutrogena sunscreen ago. They are light and sheer and non greasy. I've heard that sun exposure actually worsen acne in the long run (though it does help clear existing pimples), then there's wrinkles and the most sinister of all -skin cancer :S chemo therapy isn't fun wear sunscreen!

Wow thats intresting. My everyday lotion has it in it, so I'm good. But I never knew that! :]]

I always make sure apply sunblock before anything else...

I also make sure to stay away from tanning beds, or standing directly in the sunlight.
