I was kinda grossed out. Has this happen to anyone else? Am I storing my pumice rock the wrong way?

im not sure the kind you have but the natural volcanic rock ones last forever (like my family has one back home that we've had for seriously over a decade). you can get them at health food stores. its the best investment of like $8. ive had mine for over a year now. and works well. just gotta sanatize it once a week.

i dip mine in a mild mixture of bleach and water (dont know exact measurements but it's about a tablespoon of beach to a gallon of water or something like that) and then put it on a wire hanger (mine has a little rope loop) and let it air dry

Usually pumice stones/rocks can last you a pretty long time, years - make sure after everytime you use it to run it under hot hot water - and sanatize it every couple of months. Which you can do however you want, the stone can handle it.

Hope you get all the answers you need!
