I have oily skin but I still get dry skin around my nose and cheeks in the winter that looks horrible under foundation. I use serums which are very high in hyaluronic acid - Isomers skin care products to be specific - as well as Poya rose & geranium cream cleanser and Monave's Rose Moisturizer at night - which is a very rich, oil based moisturizer and an amazing product. Great for the face, neck & eye area. I also don't cleanse my skin in the morning before applying makeup. I just splash my face with tepid water & pat it dry. I then apply more moisturizer - a glycolic acid product that I spike with even more glycolic & lactic acid - and wait at least 20 minutes or more before starting to apply my makeup. The products I use every night, along with my own natural skin oils, make the perfect natural 'primer'. My foundation applies perfectly. No dry flakes, no excess oil production, no clogged pores, less breakouts, no winter irritation whatsoever. About twice a week I use Noevir's Quick Recovery Mask - not cheap but it goes far & is an exceptional product which is a moisturizing mask & exfoliating product in one. It leaves the skin baby soft & smooth, ready to absorb the serums & other products I use.
