Cutting my own hair?

I was just wondering if anybody have ever cut in a fringe themselves? I want to change my hair slightly, but I don't want to lose any length or dye it again.. so any tips for creating a little sweeping fringe would be great!

Fringe bangs? Or are you talking about face framing angles? Bangs are fairly easy to do yourself, but angles can be a little trickier.

I am guilty of having cut my own hair before :icon_redf

I wouldn't do anything too tricky though-- especially anything dealing with my bangs! :icon_surp One wrong snip and you'll be crying for months

I still give myself a trim every so often because if I mess up, I can only be mad at me. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I give myself angles around my face by brushing the hair around my face and holding it between my fingers. I then hold the scissors down and cut straight down. I don't know if that made sense as it's kinda hard to describe.

But yes, I've given myself face angles and bangs!! (And I've gotten lots of compliments!!)

Thank you everybody, especially Grace.. the tips on holding the hair will help me hopefully! I still haven't worked up the courage to do it though!
