My cuticles always get dry and scaly especially in the winter, and my regular hand lotions just don't seem to be working for them. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good cuticle oil or other treatment? My hands and nails are one of my favorite features but my cuticles always ruin the look! :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I just bought a Cuticle Conditioner, called 5 Seconds. I got it at Walgreens. I will let you know how I like it.

LOL...I was going to say exactly what maph did! Olive or coconut oil! :icon_lol:

Also, there's a product called Natural 7 Oil that's got different oils and herbal extracts in it, you can get a big 6 or 7 oz bottle of it at beauty supply stores for like 4 bucks! It's great for cuticles and everything else that needs softening.

If your cuticles are ragged and sore or the skin is broken, dab some tea tree oil on to disinfect, soothe and aid in healing.

I third that! Olive oil is great and cheap to rub into nails for strength, a small bottle of cuticle oil that comes in a little dropper style bottle is great for carrying around in your bag though!

i had that problem once and i used vitamin e oil that i had somewhere. it's not very expensive and i think it worked pretty well.

a cheap way of helpin cuticles is using vaseline, do u remove any of the dead cuticle or jus use creams?

Hi Jen! I got a cuticle oil as an extra in a swap. I looked it up and apparently its a good brand called "Zloom"? Its been tested and I can't tell how much is left in it because of the container. I don't need it and wont be using it so if you interested and you want it PM me with your addy and I'll send it out to you to try!

i hadn't used it, but i heard that solar cuticle oil is really great. they sell it a sally's beauty supply and cvs.

Oops, I already bought a bottle, so I don't really need it now! But thanks for the offer! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I did learn one thing... don't rub the oil in with your fingers (like the directions say) then use a touchpad on a laptop... even after washing my hands my fingers are so slippery, I'm having a hard time moving the mouse pointer! lol

I would strongly recommend the Burt's Bees Lemon Butter. My cuticles and nails have never looked better since I started using it. Plus it smells SO good.

Yeah, love the TIPS. Apparently its the only oil that penetrates the nail. I've been using this for years. Agree its pretty pricey.
