Hi all new here, was just wondering if anyone has any tips on foundation routine and skin care. I have very blemish prone skin i use estee lauders maximum cover foundation it covers really well but if a pimple is bumpy it still goes through. I been using tea tree serum on the pimples but they dont seem to be going. I have pressed powder is it better to apply it with a powder brush or with the sponge that comes with it?

A good concealer can help you.  I recently bought the Physicians Formula RX concealer and loved its coverage.  It wont make the "bump" disapear, but the medicated forumla should help reduce the pimple/inflammation in a couple of days.

IMO, this video is invaluable. I definately second the brush rec - depending on the concealer, a fluffier one like the MAC#217, #224, Smashbox #12, etc. or a very stiff brush. ETA: on a spot-treated/dried up pencil, before I put on primer(s), I'll often put some Avene Cicalfate right on the pimple. It does give some moisture, but it also softens out any roughness from a pimple that's on the way to drying up from retinoid/SA/BP treatment. The LRP Cicaplast in the video is a similar concept, but it is less hydrating than the Cicalfate. Neither are comedogencic, and suitable for sensitive skins; I just personally prefer Cicalfate.

Thank you so much ! Fantastic video ! I'm really wanting to get that Dermablend foundation, the coverage is amazing.

I think without covering the pimples it's better to treat them. For acne and scars I'm presently using Himani BOROPLUS Anti-Acne Cream which is an herbal product and is working quite well on my skin. It helps in reducing the effects of acne scars and in cleaning skin of all painful blemishes. It contains clove oil, camphor, Tea tree oil, nutmeg oil etc. which are very effective for acne.

maybe you should visit your GP, a friend of mine was really pimply and she' was in her mid 20s. her GP gave her a prescrption depending on how severe your acne is. (then they might refer u to a specialist) she was on the pill for 2 months and  /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> her face looks amazzzzzinggggggg she only wear powder now!

Hello

Its true that in today generation many are affected by pimples but dont worry there are home made remedies that will cure your pimples.

The 5 ways to cure pimples are:

1. Toothpaste is a way to treat pimples.  You can have a small drop of toothpaste on pimples. Leave overnight and when you wake up, you can wash.
2. Another way to cure pimples is to drink water. There are many toxins in your blood, you're so result of the outbreak. So if you drink lots of water can flush toxins from the body. You should drink at least 8 glasses of water.
3. Glycerin soap is another way to treat pimples. An example of Neutrogena soap. Make sure that the face wash at least twice a day. This soap is soft and will help you get rid of your pimples effectively.
4. Another way to improve the apricot buds. Application apricot your pimples for ten minute a day. You can do this every day or until you are satisfied with the results.
5. Healthy food is another way to treat pimples. Foods that are loaded with sugar, saturated fats and vegetable oils break.

Sorry but the only way to cure pimples and stop getting acne is by taking a medication called Accutane.

The real deal is off the market but you can still get the generic kind - a Dermatologist must prescribe it.

I've heard that a good way routine for acne prone people is to apply a full coverage concealor over the pimples or marks and then to apply an all over tinted moisturaizer, such as Laura Mercier one. Seems to make sense to me because then your using only a small amount of heavy duty stuff and the rest of the skin has some space to breath.
