I am very interested in getting on the copper peptide bandwagon..any help would be greatly appreciated! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> i know some of you have GREAT info....give it!

ROFL on the BEGGGG. I'm not a Cu user yet, but I am waiting for an order to come in and have done quite a bit of research both on the net and in these forums. I'm sure there's an easier way to do the thread hyperlink thingy, but in the meantime here is one thread, here is another, and here is a recent one.

You can also do a "search this forum" for copper, SCRP, firming, wrinkles .... basically searches on the ingredient and/or the condition you're interested in correcting. Even though you'll probably still have questions (I did), at least you'll have a basic background and understanding on the subject. All these products and ingredients can be VERY confusing - lol - just hang in there.

I have a dumb question. I recently tried from Whole Foods a small tub of "Supreme Polypeptide Cream" from MyChelle Dermaceuticals.

Is this the same as a copper peptide? I used it and I liked it, but on the small tub (ok..the large jar was mondo $$$$$$ and I wanted to try it first) it does not list the ingrdients anywhere. I guess Sherlock could go to the website:wacko:

but has anybody tried/heard of this line and had any experience with it?

I googled the product and here is the list of ingredients. There isn't any copper peptide on the list that I saw. It appears that Matrixyl is their main active polypeptide. You can read about Matrixyl here - it's basically a lab-created micro-collagen. Collagen by itself is way to big a molecule to be absorbed into our skin topically. The product also contains a marine oligopeptide - a much-shortened version of collagen, which is also more readily absorbed topically.

Start using it and check back with us in a few weeks to give us a report on the product as per does it do what it's touted to do. Lol - I love people that give reports like "made my skin feel soft" or "I did/didn't break out" and so on, which is useful for sure, but never mention if the product did what it was meant to do. In this case it's function is a wrinkle-reducer. I see by your profile that you're 41, so you've probably got a few wrinkles you can test it out on. I've read a few things about Matrixyl over the past few weeks and it does seem like a very useful discovery .... anxious to hear how you make out!

Bingo! I mainly tested -Past tense..as I already used the product- this on my "railroad track wrinkles" (forehead) to see if there would be any marked improvement/difference..and there was absolutely none whatever..and as I said before..Cha Ching!! Big Time..so I kind of wondered if I was crazy b/c of all the raves regarding copper peptides and if maybe this product was no way related to it. You totally answered my question! Thank you so much dolphin_gal for looking this up for me, too. You're a sweetheart!!

O.k. bottom line..It did not work for me..so I cannot reccommend MyChelle

Supreme Peptide Cream at this time!!!!:icon_chee;)

Thanks for getting back on that, Elisabeth .... I'll put their product on my "don't bother" list. Although, I will still continue research on Matrixyl as time permits. Sometimes products don't contain enough of an ingredient to have an effect ... sometimes an ingredient is co-dependant to one degree or another in order to be effective or most effective. Hmmmm, maybe we should start a thread on Matrixyl and see if any of the gals here over 40 have used it.

thanks all....hey, you know, i have to say that to start out, you might want to try the neutrogena active copper...i have been exfoliating with a microdermabraison kit and then using this product for the eyes and for the face--and i have REALLY noticed a difference...true, its a first generation copper peptide and these other products are much farther advanced and effective, but if you wanna see how your skin reacts to copper, give this product a try---once i run out of it, i will be purchasing the SP serum and working up to the super cop :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> thanks again for all the input !
