Does copper cause purging? I have some pores that seem to be clogged or maybe it is that they are purging from deep down under the skin. I don't really get pimples very often (never have ) so I'm wondering if I'm using something to that is clogging my pores or is it my skin purging a lot of nasty stuff from deep down? I use a glycolic peel one time a week , epidermX 1X a week , copper serum and a glycolic serum. Oh and I use dhc cleansing oil as a cleanser followed by the mild soap. Any advice is welcomed and appreciated!

I also use derma butter for a moisturizer and a sunscreen which says is noncomedegenic

The soap is the Mild soap from DHC( I think its called Mild Soap)

The sunscreen is Cetaphil SPF 15.

BUT...after reading on the DY skincare forum I think the spots are actually the Vitamin C serum I'm using that has oxidized. I must not have cleansing my face thoroughly and getting all the copper off in the morning cefore using the Vitamin C.

Do you also use exfol serum or cream in your routine as well? This helps reduce the clogging of pores and is also an exfoliation. I use copper products as well as some other products from the DY site, and exfol is an a must for me.

No but I use a 15% glycolic acid serum which also has salicylic acid in it over the copper so I am getting an exfoliation plus I do weekly glycolic acid peels at 40% plus a weekly Epidermx microdermabrasion.

its funny, cause on some sites it says to exfoliate, or use acid solutions like vitamin c and peels not at the same time as the copper cause it can cause free copper which is a negative...but some sites say use exfoliate at the same time....confusing...

i definitely use microdermabraision before my neutrogena copper and dont have any problems, but i am not using the second generation peptides. best of luck

Sorry if I interfere but you should not use Copper along with Vitamin C, so I've been told. It would pro-oxide the skin. You should leave at least 72 hours between them.
