Do you think putting one of these products over a sunless tan would help the tanner from coming off in the pool? Which one would be better??? Since it beads up in water, I thought it would act as a barrier.

I'm not sure which would work better than the other. Isn't it recommended to not use a self-tanner if you plan on swimming? I would think it would be better applied after swimming instead of before... That's just me though...

I think it would be best to apply after swimming as well. I think no matter what you put on it, it will still wear off in the pool.

I don't really think there is any way to prevent a self-tan from coming off. Some brands do last longer than others. I use Palmer's cocoa butter every single day though - and it makes your skin soooooo soft - it's cheap too. I'd recommend investing in some just because it works so well.

Yea, I thought about buying it just because. So do you think the cocoa butter is better than the shea butter, as far as softness goes. I did think the shea butter smelled somewhat better.

I prefer the cocoa butter mostly because I just like the smell of it.

I agree Princess that there isn't a product on the market, that I'm aware of, that will protect a sunless tanner from chlorine and or water.

If your looking to get some sun layer your cocoa butter with your sunscreen.

I use cocoa butter because it smells nicer. There isnt much you can do to prevent your tan from coming off other than moisturising really well afterwards. Putting it on before swimming will only make the water around you oily..which can be a bit embarassing and probably a waste or moisturiser!

xx
