hey this is supposed to be a toner right? but it looks kind of 'soapy'?

i just want to make sure there isn't something wrong with whta i got. it looks like cleanser.

I'm pretty sure it's a wash. I've used it before and I have their toner as well.

Have you checked their site? I've noticed a lot of companies lately are calling toners and other such items "lotions," and their liquids.

well they list it with their toners. it just looks odd and am hoping i don't have a product that was shelved to long or something LOL

They call them clarifiers cuz they clear the dirt away that the soap has broken up on your face.......are you using the whole 3-step system ? Or are you just using it randomly...? Clinique's 3-step can be a MESS if you are not skin typed right ----trust me - I was a Cli-Geek (Clinique BA & CM) a million years ago and lemme tell ya--YIKES. It just doesn't sound like anyone walked you thru Clinique--and that can lead to breakouts, and worse--- I know Clarifying Lotion 4 can actually take nail polish off---- and I have seen it strip the finish off a kitchen floor with my own eyes. Just sayin.

it sounds like you got the liquid wash. cause the toner (i use the stuff) pretty much looks like water.

and i notcied it also smells like vodka.

korina, it's a toner/astringent. it's for really sensitive or dry skin. Don't let the woman at the counter sell you the #2 or #3, stick with the mild clarifying lotion...trust me. It might not have the effects you're looking for right away, but keep using it and it will def work...good luck.

thanks all! I like it alot.

So this toner is apprently very different from the numbered ones (1-4) and clinique made it because it seems the numbered ones were too harsh for many women. That's what the SA i asked today told me.

However i did manage to FINALLY find my nivea moisturizing toner (i think it may be discontinued though because i found it at a store where seemingly there is very little business so they must just have alot of old product left and i love the Nivea moisturizinbg so the reviews were right!
