From Allure (March issue)
[*][*]Keep your hands off any blemishes. Touching, picking, or squeezing will only make it worse.[*]Massage a nickel-size blob of PH-balanced antibacterial cleanser over the face, and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.[*]Blot face with a clean towel and allow five minutes for skin to air dry.[*]For acne-prone skin, rub on a chemical exfoliant like glycolic acid once a week to prevent clogged pores.[*]Treat pimples in the morning with a benzoyl peroxide-and-sulfur ointment or a salicylic-acid one -- whichever works best for your skin.[*]Moisturize with an oil-free SPF 15 lotion. Allow the moisturizer to sink in for at least two minutes.[*]Apply an oil-free foundation and use a small, stiff brush to cover the blemish with thick, cakey concealer that matches the skin perfectly.[*]Blend the concealer into surrounding skin with the brush. If redness is still visible, apply a second coat.[*]Lightly dust loose powder on and around the blemish.[*]At night, spot treat the blemish with a cream containing benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, retinols, or a prescription antibiotic.
