anyone know a good cleanser for dry skin?? i've run out of mine n been using regular soap so my skin broke out..but the last one i had i din't like it from st. ives

and what about a moisturizer?? i have been using nivea cream since forever but is there any other cream that's good for dry skin also?

much appreciated

I have dry skin and use Dermalogica Essential Cleanser and Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream. They both work very well for me.

Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Cleanser is great for dry skin. For moisturizer, I like oils and the best I've found is Silkia camellia oil. It's better than jojoba, olive and rosehip oil that I had tried before. My skin looks hydrated, healthy and has a glow. Plus it's helping me acne scars.

I don't think they are regular oils, e.g. the olive oil I used before was from DHC Skin Care, not the cooking kind you buy in a grocery store. I bought jojoba oil from a healthfood store, rosehip, DHC olive oil and camellia oil online. The Silkia camellia I use now is from goldportbeauty.com. This oil is very light and doesn't feel greasy at all. Olive and rosehip are heavier.

^^thanks im going to give it a try...i've used nivea since forever but it leaves my skin very oily...so hopefully silkia camellia oil will help

thank u =)

I love Neutrogena Gentle Cleanser for my dry skin...and Oil of Olay Sensitive Skin Moisturizer..

I use Biotherm's Cleansing Milk for dry skin. You have to put it on dry skin and then use a damp washcloth to get it all off, but it works really well for me.

My favorite daytime moisturizer is Dove's Fresh Radiance (which is now Energy Glow) day lotion in a pump bottle. It's moisturizing, has light reflecting particles, antioxidants, and SPF 15. In winter, I use regular Nivea cream on my face at night, but that's *way* too heavy in summer. I'm still searching for a good summertime night moisturizer.

Have you tried Nivea Soft (its in a white tub)? its much lighter than the Nivea cream in the blue tub. x

i really like the bath and body works line Pure Simplity: Milk Thistle face cleanser.

its a really nice creamy one. awsome for me in the winter.

I have terribly dry skin that breaks out easily. I have used cetaphil and other acne cleansers but they dry out the skin too much, so if I feel like there's a break out coming on, I'll use them, but otherwise I use something less harsh. Organics are a favorite, but I'm currently using Queen Helene's Shea Butter scrub. It sloughs off dead skin and leaves it soft and smooth. Plus it smells great!

We have a really good self adjusting cleanser called Intellegence. It is for dry, normal, oily and combo skin. You can find it at the website below my name.

My skin tends to be on the dry side but many products feel heavy and greasy, but without making much difference to the tightness and dryness. My current saving grace- and a real bargain of a saving grace- is Palmer's Cocoa Butter. It goes on so smoothly and is absorbed quickly and effectively. I've been using this for about a year now on both my body and my face.

I have terrible dry skin on parts of my body, which has the propensity to be scaly, discoloured and very dry. I've tried many different moisturisers prescribed by my doctor, with varying success- Oilatum was the only one which gave a noticable improvement- but I find Palmer's keeps the dryness at bay very effectively.

And it smells gorgeous, almost like white chocolate!

If we are talking body skin dryness...I have ezcema and I use cleansing gel, awaken sea salt scrub and foot cream. Have had no dryness since....also drinking water helps.
